Do you have a daily quiet time?

I guess some people might call it meditation or something. I try to have some times during the day where I just get quiet. I usually use the time to meditate on different things. Usually on a particular scripture or prayer maybe. I try to find some time every day to just be quiet. Don't you think it is good for your body and soul to just get quiet sometimes?

yes. my home is far away from the place where i worked. it takes me 1hour by bus from home and company everyday. i will meditate on the things when i get on the bus taking me back home, think about what the work i did today, and what i need to do at home. the science what i saw on the road will also remind me of some one or some experience happened on me in the past.

It's good that you can use that time productively. I like times like that where I feel like I can "get myself together." I don't get too many times like that!

I really don't. The only time I really have daily quiet time is when I'm at work. I'm a preschool teacher so I work with about 10 one year olds each day so you can imagine that it is quite crazy and loud each day. I just want peace and quiet by the time nap time rolls around. Whenever it's time for nap, we get some peace. Then I go on break and usually it's pretty quiet but not all the time. So I do get some peace and quiet at work. Some days whenever I get home from work I just want to sit in the silence but that's not always the case.

I can imagine if you are around one year olds all day you'll want plenty of quiet time after you get off work! That's a crazy day I am sure! And anything but quiet too!

Yes, it is an almost must. I homeschool my children, and work from home. After the kids are in bed, and even before my husband and I have quiet time, I take 60- 90 minutes to just chill, relax, meditate, think, read, whatever I want. I need it!

Yes you do need it! That's a lot for a day! I find if I take care of my self I can take care of others even better!

I try to take mine early in the morning. I get up and enjoy my coffee in the early quiet before everyones feet hit the floor running. In the summer I wander through the flower beds and make mental notes of what needs to be done there. I agree that we all need that few moments of just being.

I like to take about an hour everyday and read.. That is my "me" time. It's so relaxing just to bury my nose in a book and forget all the troubles the day holds.
