Hello vikeyme ;)
I agree. It's sometimes hard to choose the best response because I appreciate all the wonderful comments. That's why I rarely select the best response not because I don't appreciate, on the contrary it's because I appreciate ALL. :( So in those cases I'll rather leave it all that than select a best response. Unless of course if the responder's post really caught my attention and has given balanced and clear points, I don't mind selecting him for the best response.
Actually I'm not really selfish in giving it, it's just that I don't want to seem like unappreciative. So instead, I rate them with a (+). They may not know it, but it's my hidden way of showing I love and appreciate their posts.

Its true most of the times we get lots of responses that you find it very hard to choose which is the best response.

Yea, I often find it very difficult to choose the best response to my discussions. Some of them just have all posts with no good input and it's hard to distinguish which one is 'the best' of them. When this occurs I usually just don't pick any and perhaps later on someone will make a quality post and they'll get the title. However, when they're all great I sometimes don't pick one and just rate the good comments as good comments or I'll try to respond to one and if the person makes a good comment back again they'll probably get it. Just choose what you like best and who's most helpful! It's all up to the discussion starter!
