Let's talk Wine!

As I've gotten a bit older (and hopefully, a tad bit wiser!), I have found that I enjoy a good bottle of merlot or reisling. What types of wine you do like? What got you interested in drinking wine? Do you just drink it or do you know the "techniques" involved in assessing the quality of wine?
