Problem with Paypal: Indian's Please Help

After a few weeks, today I logged into Paypal and it asked for my PAN number. I gave the correct PAN number, but it is saying that my PAN number is wrong. I need to take some money to my local account, soon. What can I do? Have you faced this problem?

Hello i logged to my paypal, it asked for PAN number as per RBI guidelines, it accepted it and i could check my money there, may be it is due to the fact that my paypal is a 'verified' account, 5 years old Bhuwan

Can I know when did this happen? I have been trying to log into my Paypal from yesterday and this problem occurs. The person who responded 2nd also said that he faces the same problem. I think there would not have this problem if you would have submitted the PAN number last week ro sometime before that. Anyway, I am waiting for the reply from Paypal.

Ok. Thanks. Another person told me that the Paypal name and the name given in the PAN card should be similar and then only Paypal will accept the PAN number. I found that there is a small difference because I didn't write an initial in the name givne in the Paypal. I tried to edit the name given in the Paypal, but it is not allowing me. What to do? I contacted Paypal on this issue, but I am not sure if they will reply.

Hi Dalia, I have started a discussion on same topic and my problem; I don't have a PAN card. I decided to apply it soon. From that discussion somebody told me that the name of your PAN card and your paypal name should be similar. Yes, some of the responders told me that they faced similar problems like you and some people successfully updated their information about paypal and logged in paypal. You please check this possibility too. I hope you can sort out your problem soon.

I wrote an email to Paypal regarding this, but I haven't recieved the reply yet. Hope they will respond to me. You can get a PAN card in two weeks of time. There are lots of agencies who help people to get PAN card. I think it will cost around Rs. 250/-. I will check the name in my PAN card and update the name in Paypal. Thanks for the information. Hope you can get a PAN card soon.

Hi When i submitted my PAN number,paypal accepted it.But they are asking for purpose .What purpose should we chose? I just want to inquire is it is possible to transfer the money from mylot to paypal account?Some time back they have reversed my transactions with trekpay.Since then i have not requested payout from any of the sites in which i am working.

Hi Daliaj, Even i am facing the same problem. Even when i am entering the pan number its not accepting it says that i have entered my pan number wrong. But i have entered it correctly. Try to cantact paypal. Even i have mailed them, i am also waiting for the reply from them Have a great day.

Thank you so much for the information. I was worried because I thought it was only my problem. If it is a common problem, they will pay more attention than individual problem and try to fix it soo. Anyway, I will contact the Paypal today itself. Thanks gain. Hope the bug will be fixed soon. I need to take some money to my local account asap.
