Many peoples keep dog in their homes for securities purposes. Their are only fews peoples keep dog as a love. They work as a guard. Theirs works are guaranteed.
To keep securities guards we will have to paid salary each months, for dog you can just give food and love. So tell me true from your heard, in what purpose you choose dog as a pet in your home.

I keep dogs for love- in fact I wouldn't expect them to gaurd the home as they would probably just wag their tails and lick and intruder!! lol
They are friendly dogs and I would never get a pet dog just for security.

Hello you are right dear, but i know people have dogs for whom the owners spend good sum of money, enough for hiring a guard, but a gurard may cheat you, not this four legged animal

I keep my dog as a love. I was afraid of dogs before, and I wanted to overcome this fear, I chose to keep my favorite breed of dog, hoped that I could overcome my fear. I chose a pug and I started to live with him, he becomes the most important one in my life.
Friends of mine, some are really dogs lovers and they are so kind to keep stray dogs and give them a sweet home, only out of their kindness. Some of them are just want to show off that they can afford to buy valuable breeds of dogs, you can see them treat other dogs very badly or show no mercy on mixed breeds.
Of course, I know some just using dogs as guards.

We've had pet dogs since I was a child. That is the main reason that we have dogs now. I love them and I like the feeling of security and unconditional love that they provide me with. For us, that is the reason that we have dogs in our house. For other people, it could be any number of things. Our dogs are our friends and they are the ones that are there to greet us when we get home. They allow my daughter to feel secure and they made the adjustment when we moved into our own home a lot easier because Kathryn had "friends" to come with her.

I keep my dog because I love my dog, my home is in safe environment, i can go in the middle of night and nothing will happen. I adopt my dog as life commitment I know my dog will be with me for at least 15 years, I have to pay the food, vet bills and giving attention he deserve.

I love my dog and for this reason I keep it near me. I believe the dog also love me as I love her. I consider it as a selfless love between us. Of course it guards me and my family. My family members are also friend to HER. None can neglect or underestimate her anyway.

Well, for one, my children loves pets. We've been having pets since they were still babies. They used to have ducks, chickens, roosters, rabbits, hamsters, cats, doves, turtles, dogs, lovebirds and aquarium fishes. My children loves taking care of them when they were small. It's only now that they are grown-up and having jobs of their own, they can no longer take care of the pets. But we still have 3 dogs and 2 cats at home, whom they get to play with when they are at home on weekends. Aside from the fact that these dogs are also my guard dogs and door buzzers whenever someone is coming from the outside. They will bark their heart out if they see some strangers knocking at the gate.

there are three reasons why i have a dog at home. first and foremost, is to have a pet. second, for security reasons. and third, to have a friend. dogs are man's best friends and they are excellent guards against unwanted visitors and intrusions to the house. they are fiercely loyal and will even defend their masters against other attackers, other humans and even animals. as a pet, they are warm and cuddly and entertaining, too...

A dog is true companion at home, leaving all security, alert watchman,i would emphasis further more its a mans true friend.
Can you understand how much graditude it has for you.
It was a shock surprise for us, when our dog refuse to eat even Chicken when my dad was away for couple of days, dull face, a fell of missing someone, yes ofcourse he is the one who has more care to it.
So its completely a joy and friendly companion at home.

"In what purpose you choose dog as a pet in your home"
you already said it both, first is, dog as a pet, you give your love for a dog, and also you give foods to it, as a pet you take care of it. second is, its a dog who can guard you all the time, its an instinct of the dog to guard his master.

for some people it is a little bit of both having the dog to help keep an eye on the house in case someone might try to break in during the night and for others the dog can be a great companion as almost another family member.
They don't get called man's best friend for nothing.
My dad back when we had our dog he had to be up early in the morning so he would not want to hear the dog barking when he was sleeping so that would be the only drawback if your dog was barking all the time thinking he heard something when it wasn't anything.
As long as you dog isn't barking at every little noise and is loveable to everyone and not overly aggressive a dog can be a very friendly companion and very nice to have around the house.
I remember back when i was in school i couldn't wait to get home and see my little buddy and he was excited to see us too when we got home, because then he would get lots of love and attention.
Where i live now we have a smaller dog he is a good watchdog lets us know where there is people outside, but not really a people friendly dog unless he really knows you and it took him forever to get used to me, but know i think I'm the only one who ever plays with the dog or pets him or gives him any attention except to say be quiet or something.

Where I come from, dogs are kept mostly as companion animals. They are part of the family, and treated as such.

we don't really have dogs in cages over here. In my country they are allowed to roam free as long as the owner is keeping a good eye on them. I don't really have any problems with the dogs in my neighborhood. I'm not allowed to keep a dog in my home. So I just think that the people that have a dog keep it for security against burgulars and maybe for companionship and friendship.

I have two large dogs that live inside, they are part of the family and I consider them my other children. My dogs are loved and treated just like family members. In exchange they provide unconditional love and companionship, and they guard my home, me and my kids.
