Recently, I've started jogging and I find it VERY healthy. Instead of telling how long I jog, I'd like to tell that I jog somewhere around 2000 meters a day and without stopping in between. And that's it. Later, I take a lil walk and get back to work.
I'd like to know the advantages of jogging and also if you're a jogger, how many meters do you jog a day?
Any info is highly appreciated.

All the Cricketers do jog but not like the Indian cricketers but again they cannot be the example, there are better things to do then watch cricket, when the rest of the world is reeling under economic downturn.
Yes the jogging is the most simple and the easiest thing to do daily or at least 5-days a week. Unfortunately I do not jog as you have started which I am yet to start but don't know when hence at this moment I will request you to never stop it when you have started it.
It will enhance your life in every spares, which I am sure you have already started realizing it. There is no limit to the positives of jogging, hence instead of adding up I will simply request everyone to GO FOR JOGGING & BE HEALTHY

Hello.
All you said is absolutely true. Since I started jogging, I'm starting to feel healthier and happy.
Well some advantages that I happen to find it out are as follows:
1) Jogging makes the cardiovascular muscle stronger. This is the one that supplies blood to the entire part of the body.
2) Jogging decreases the possibility of high blood pressure.
3) It also lowers the risk of heart diseases.
4) Joggers inhale more oxygen than the non-joggers while jogging which is in fact healthy.
Yes, I feel good jogging every day and I'm improving day by day. Currently I started to jog 2800 meters

VinceMcMahon,
That is just great. I know that we are all proud of you. I know that I am. Keep up the good work. but don't push it . Important factor that you should keep in mind is not to stress your self with regard to the pace and distance covered.
Again Way to go.
have a nice day.

Thanks for the comment. 1500-2000 meters for your age is incredible. I jog more or less the same. I keep improving day by day.
I was jogging a couple of years ago. Due to lack to time, I wasn't running anymore and I now started to Jog again.
First day, I jogged 1200 meters, 3rd day, 1600, 5th day, 2000. Trying to run more tomorrow but I'm not sure about that. WI think it will take some time before I Jog even more meters.
Thanks again.

Hi VinceMcMahon,
Last time, I always do some jogging in the evening. Usually I only jog around 1.5km and follow up by little walk. And it is very good. Its make us feel better especially after shower. Our body feel much freshness.
It is also help us to go to bed at night because our body is tired. And this is what I do if I can not sleep on the previous night.

Thanks for the comment. 1 question though...
I normally go to bed at 5 AM in the morning. It's because I need to work at nights. So is it ok to work all night, then JOG, and go to bed?
Is that healthy?

We do jogging because we want to make some sweat. That mean to burn some calories inside our body and at the same time to make our body fitter.
So I don't think time is important here. Some people in my place even jog at the park during night. They are to busy with their daily schedule and only have time to exercise at night.

Oh... that was some sort of relief for me. I thought it might produce some side effect. Jogging and then going to bed. It should be the other way around
Anyway, thanks for the advice. Really appreciated.

I am not a jogger, but I sure wish I was. Jogging is an excellent cardio exercise but it is just more than that. The fact that you are out running in the fresh air will give you a sense of freedom and exhiliration. My stepdad runs everyday for literally miles and miles and has found it to be an excellent way to lose weight and body fat.
