Why is Paypal not accepting the Pan Number

Hi Friends,
As you all know paypal was asking for Pan numbers but when are entering it and submitting it its not accepted it shows like this
Some required information is missing or incomplete. Please correct your entries and try again.
* PAN Number: You have entered an invalid or incorrect PAN number. Please enter a 10-digit alphanumeric number without spaces, special characters and dashes.
But what i am entering it is correct but shows every time i wanted to submit.
Is anybody here facing the same problem. Please suggest me what to do??

Hai friend i too faced the same problem in entering.I had one solution by doing simple trick.While entering the pan number Example :(AAAPS00541E). Here the words P and S are, P-personal and S-last name.U just change the word last name in the field and enter it u will be done............

Hope the you were able to enter the pan number later. By interchanging this we will this not be a problem then . you mean to say that after 3 alphabets we find PD in mine so i have to key in as DP rite

After seeing your discussion, I logged into paypal. It immediately asked for pan number. I typed it and it says some mistake, wrong information is there. I sent a mail to paypal. Let me see what they write back.

Pay pal replied today. It says there may be name change in the name that is given in the pan card and in the name that is registered with paypal. They gave proceedure to change our name accordingly in paypal too. I think father/husband's name will be given fully in pan card. May be that is the difference. I will check up with my pan card and let you know.

did it matches with same PAN no which your bank have or did the name of pan is matches with paypal name

The Name is same and matches in the pancard, bank account and as well as the paypal. But still dont know why its not accepting.

Hi Deepa!
May be you are entering 'O' as '0' you know O as zero! or something like that.
Or Capital letters missing? Just check out the PAN number correctly. If the problem persist then just send a mail to PayPal with your PAN number and they will add it themselves.

Obviously we get confused with that minor things like 'O' and '0'. Caps is not missing i am sure about it. I have sent a mail to paypal just waiting for there reply at the earliest.

Even I tried to withdraw my earnings from Paypal. But it is asking the pan No. and I too am facing the same problem. So I also wanted to wait and see whether this problem will be solved in due course.

Most of them are facing the same problem actually some tell its a script problem. When i contacted paypal they asked me to check the Name whether its same or not. BUt mine its same but still its not accepting it.

make sure your name in the Paypal account and your PAN card are similar..If there is a mismatch in the account names, then Paypal would not accept your PAN number. Many paypal account holders face this problem. We usually create paypal account with our first and last names.. But our PAN card may include our initial too. So the mismatch of the account names occurs. Check out if both the names are same.

The name in your paypal account and name in your PAN card should be similar otherwise it will reject it. I got this information from my discussion and one of the responder told me this. Many people faced this problem and I think all because of this. Please check this too.
