How do you keep your energy up in life?

Sometimes I feel so tired. I want to have fun in my life, but at the same time a lot of stuff weighs me down, like working to earn a wage. Or doing things because I have to (for now). It really weighs me down. Then I get so tired that I feel like I don't have energy to work towards what I want to do in life, even if that's actually more important. I get caught up in society's trap also, or it starts to feel more and more claustrophic, seeing people revolve around going to work and then drinking or partying at nights, it starts to seem empty or pointless to me, maybe because I'm looking at it from the outside. I try to keep my goals in mind, but getting through a day can be energy-sucking, all the crowds and public transport, or seeing some bad news about society or what's happening in the world. The day's feel long, but then life is actually really short and day by day it's reaching closer to your final day. I keep in mind that we are all mortal and one day this life is over, but I'm finding it hard to work for just my passion when there seems like so many physical boundaries I'm surrounded by. Some people say its mind over matter, but just feel like matter is very heavy and real sometimes. Imagination creates new possibilities but I feel so trapped sometimes. How do you keep your spirits and energy up when you run into obstacles or feel tied down?

The secret of having a good life is not having a lot of energy. You just need to enjoy in everything you do. If you are happy in whatever you do, you never lose energy at all. you just need to spice up your life everyday. Learn to enjoy the ride of life. Learn to smile and be happy in whatever you do. A great day starts with a prayer.

But I think that's what gives people more energy: doing things they like to do. If they didn't like they were doing each day, life would be really tiring. Yeah I agree, the more passion you have for what you are doing, the happier you are.

Hello skaterx, I think for me is having good friends to support me when I am low. They show me I am good person and that I do accomplish alot in a week or month etc.. Also TV shows or movies help unwind and laugh at them or what I see reflected back at me. Laughter is very good medicine or good cry for the ladies. It also seem sto help when I have a head cold is cry it more out the stuff out... I know grous etc... Very good book aliviates my spirit when I feel stressed or short on time. Jounralling in my notebook helps too Thanks and have a great day Sincerley unique16

Yeah that's true. And your kitty cat :). I think friends are really important. I think its one of the most important factors in life. I mean, when i socialise with people, it doesn't matter so much if im bored with my city, if my friends are fun to be with and supportive. I do need holidays too. Laughter is good medicine yeah, that's why fun is important also. It seems like balancing is a lot of work. It might come easy to some people, but I find city life quite stressful at times, and living alone, it can be both free and restricted at the same time. I can do different things but feel a bit far from nature or beachs, or natural elements that are calming. yeah and books also help change my mindset. Thanks, have a nice day too :)

well every day that can be a challenge to keep your energy up just to do what you need to do for that day. If we don't get enough sleep that can start you off a bit sluggishly and that does not help very much. I will go over to my parents house and help my mom out around there house doing the dishes, cleaning, and laundry so it can be a bit taxing doing all of that for them, but i don't mind because they have done a lot for me over the years and it is my way of repaying them for all of that. We just have to take the day in its parts do some things in this part of the day others in that part of the day so we don't end up rushing trying to do everything all at the same time, because not only could that be time consuming it would be very energy consuming too. We just have to make sure we eat at the normal times and have plenty to drink too that will help to get us going a little at the start, but usually i am able to get done what i need to for the day.

Right now i feel really tired cos got up early for an appointment, then went to school only to find out today it starts in the afternoon, so practically falling asleep now. I socialised yesterday in the evening so basically was out the whole day, its both good to be busy and active sometimes but also tiring when its rinse and repeat. I do take it one day at at time, but I guess i think everyone's mindset is different. some people are happy enjoying everyday as it is, but I need sometimes both to have goals set, so that i will do them, and also to enjoy what i do have, moments in time to relax and so on.

Well, in my case I felt really trapped by life too, and there was a moment in which I thought that I couldn't go on with that, so I took a really important decision. It was to go to live to a different place and change my life. I did so, and now, unlike in the past, when I was feeling tired all the time, I feel more energetic and happier. Sometimes is better not to resign yourself just because "it's what you're supposed to do" but to make a decision about whether you want to go on like that or not

I also moved away to a different place. I guess its about where you move also. Every place has advantages and disadvantages. I might move to somewhere with more sun :P

My house overlooks the countryside. I have a 8 month old baby daughter, a disabled son that is two years and nine months old plus a son that is fourteen years and eleven months old. This morning my daughter woke at 05.30 in the morning. I came downstairs to see my two pet dogs. I noticed a beautiful sunrise in the sky so I stood at the door and took a photo of it. Then I returned upstairs to give my daughter a bottle of water and sugar. She has a sickness bug at the moment. A warm bath with lavender oil can relax a stressed body. Some treatments like massage can assist a person to feel happy and energized. It is lovely when a person can enjoy his or her hobbies. Like reading an enjoyable novel or writing a story with a happy ending. I love to take my dogs for a walk to the coast and the countryside. I used to go to a stressful meeting and cycle home. On the way all the stress and bother floated away. If I feel unhappy I plan a future trip overseas. Holding a tumble stoned crystal can be healing. Good luck.

Sounds lovely. I haven't started a family yet. I just have a bf I see often, but I think about also what its like to be in a family again. I miss the closeness. Eucalyptus oil is nice too, and peppermint oil. I love massages :D, walking along lakes or beaches. I mean, I think I would actually have a peaceful lifestyle if I live in the countryside or somewhere quiet. I'm just stuck in the city at the moment. It's often stressful seeing blocks of buildings, even if the buildings here are okay looking. There's just too much concrete and windows and block shapes. I gotta try writing a story with a happy ending. I haven't done that since I was in school. I haven't written any fictional stories or finished any since I was in school. I feel happier when i walk by trees coming home or going to the city.
