Okay, I had my first c-section about 3 months ago. I have been having cramps since I had it, I need to know if this is normal. I also had gestational diabetes and my daughter was 10 lbs. 7 oz, which was the whole reason for me to have a c-section. Now I have had 4 kids before all this and I have never had any problems like this before. I have always had big babies and I am not exactly sure what is normal after a c-section because it is my first one. Can anyone give me some ideas, please, as to what is normal and what is not. Now my incision is healed and everything and the doctor says it looks great, so I have no worries about that.

mimama5 you should keep check on your blood sugar so you do not fallinto real diabetes.as a diabetic if I eat food that is too salty or do not drink enough water, I get leg cramps so I do try to not eat any salty foods or skimp on enough water. but if you mean abdominal cramps my you should go see your doctor as that does not sound normal. for leg cramp prevention drink enough water, stay away from really salty foods and have a banana every day for its potassium to prevent let cramps. with a very large baby like that you are in danger of becoming a full blown diabetic too. Also do try to regain your normal weight as overweight can indeed trigger type 2 diabetes. good luck "God Bless.
