I always want to change my job, because I hate it. I sent my resume to some companies on line. But until now I haven't gotten any information about it. I always complain why I had a run of bad luck, because someone whose personel compertence are normal can get a good job easily. I alway study hard. But I can't get a good chance to do my favorit job. I feel it's unfair. I'm in bad mood from last friday, because one of my colleagues resigned from his job. Most of his work is taken over by me. I feel very very gloomy. I really want to quit my job too. But I can't, because I must make a living. How I hope I have a lot of money! So I can give up my job without hesitation. Last night I thought for a long time, I don't really make use of my time to study hard. I often give up halfway. Until now my oral English is poor. I should get dowm to study and improve myself. Only in this way, when I have a chance, I can seize it. Dear mylotter, I hope all of you have good luck and can seize it tightly.

Maybe you could take an interactive online English class to improve.

I think the best method is I should practice speaking English every day. I will make a plan and insist on doing it.

HI silidaxu its no use crying over spilt milk. The internet is a great tool to better yours spoken English. Chatting with good English spaking friends might help you to better your skills. Being exposed to the language also helps. I do agree with you, that yours is a very wise decision to continue studying so that you have greater opportunities and move to a better job. Good luck!

Thank you for your suggestion. But I haven't any English speaking friend. I only practice speaking Englsih by myself. I ever have attended an English spoken class. But the effect is poor. I will make a self-leaning program for English. And I will do it step by step according to the plan. I hope I can do the job I like in the near future. Good luck!

silindaxu do not quit your job unless you have already found a new one. my God be thankful you have a job, my son has been out of work for a year, the economy in the US is the worst in forty years. Quit whimpering about your job,and find something you like in it, take some English classes in the evening at night school and learn, and keep your head up, you can do it, you will do it, just be grateful for what you have now, a lot of people are out of work and in horrible situations, good luck, buck up and God bless

Hi Hatley,
Thank you for your encouragement and suggestion. I have attended an English oral class. But it had only minimally effective. Because I have little chance to speak English in my daily work. I must keep practising every day. I hope your son can find a job soon. Good luck!

The thing is you can eaither let it depress you or you can work around it. Try to do something meaningful in order to help yourself. I know how it is to become easily discouraged. I got so bad that I decided not to go to college after high school. I'm sticking to it for personal reasons, but that's my choice. I still have a roof over my head so that's the most important thing to me.

I will try to adjust my bad mood. Before I have a new job, I must face the work everyday. So I should do it with a happy mood. At least it can provide my living expense.

I hope that your situation improves very soon. It is very depressing to be in a job one does not like. Maybe you can try to find something about your work that you do like, even some of your colleagues companionships to take your mind off what you do not like about your job. Maybe the area you work in, maybe something you see on your way back and forth to work to give you something to look forward to that is pleasant.
Meanwhile, I know this is easier said than done, but be thankful for your job. There are so very many people who do not have a job to go to, and some have no other income right now. There are people in the world who would love to be hating what they are doing for a living because at least they would be making a living.
I hope that everyone is able to find a job they like. Wouldn't that be wonderful? For you, me and everyone else to have a likable position and want to jump out of bed every day to go to work.
Happy Mylotting!

i have a similar experience silindaxu. i was also faced with the decision whether or not to quit my job. i always think and think hard whenever i feel like giving up. there are a lot of people that i am supporting right now so i can't just give it all up because i want comfort for my own life. i thought to myself maybe this is just one of those challenges set forth by God for me to overcome. and when i do, blessings and happiness will come my way. maybe you should think likewise too. :)

Thank you for sharing your experience. Yes, I think you are right. But I hope the test put by God can finish soon. I really hope I can release myself thoroughly in my job that I like. I always think the cuttent job is not fit for me and make me feel damped.

I'm sorry to hear you do not like the job that you have, it can really REALLY get to you after a while, I remember being in a few jobs that I did not like...it really got me down and because I didn't like the job I did not give my best mentally and so didn't stay in the jobs for very long.
If you fight for what you believe in, it will happen...I have faith in that philosophy and you should do to!
I wish you the very best of luck for your future endeavours and I'm sure things will go well for you in the end!!!

You are very lucky to have a job, I would love to have a job, any job, so I could pay the bills. Have patience, get your head down and get on with the job you have for now, and spend spare time studying to improve.

We make our own luck by the amount of work we are willing to put into it. My son lost his job after eleven years. He had been making almost $100K a year. Nothing was available in that salary range, but he didn't sit around waiting for good fortune to smile on him. He went knocking on her door.
He took the first job offer that came his way, making maybe a quarter of what he had before. Then he decided to sell a barbeque sauce he made up himself. Last of all, he started his own computer repair company. He sometimes puts in 20 hours a day making everything work together, but he figures it's worth it. He looks forward to having his own company and no other job one day, but he knows that requires hard study, work, and immense determination.
If you want to leave your job, do it. I know about twenty people in just my group of friends at church who would love to be in your shoes, bringing in a paycheck. They are being let go just before they can retire, so they are losing not only their jobs, but their savings, and their homes. These same people go out every weekend - not to play - but to help others they consider less fortunate than themselves. Not one of them has sunk into depression moaning about their bad luck, but all of them are attempting to find ways to help themselves whether it's selling crafts at flea markets or setting up a business putting 'assembly required' furniture together.

Yeah, once in our lifetime we do feel down and depressed but hey, this is one way of how to know if we can stand the trials we do have in life. Sometimes what we do wish for or long for does not happen in an instant or a snap of a finger. It will take time too.. good opportunity comes once in a blue moon so when it does happen, you should know how be swift.
My hubby felt the same thing too when we spoke because most of his colleagues are resigning or transferring to other companies that pays well or much better. I told him to be patient a bit and stay for the mean time while I am not with him coz I am still taking my vacation here in my country.
If God's will for him to look for a higher paying time, it will happen. Just be still and wait for the Lord to grant you this because it is His will that will happen. We should also know how to balance things. You cannot hunt for a new job when your not yet even ready or if your in a stage of paying stuffs. Learn to be more thankful of what God gave you rather to complain of a hard labor or so. In this world where economic turmoil is present, we should know how to appreciate what we have on hand and push further on and be productive to gain more.

Sometimes we have to be thankful and appreciate what we have instead of thinking about what we don't have. It's okay to have a dream or goal in life but it should inspire us and drive us to be positive in life instead of making us miserable. Learn to love what you have now. Be happy. Enjoy your life. Life can be enjoyed without having to spend a lot of money. Spend it with people you love and care. Don't dwell too much on your losses but think about all the good things that has happened to you and might happen if you will just be positive in dealing with life.

Sometimes I think we can emanate an air of gloom which comes across in everything we do.
You may have heard the expression ,'depression loves company' and I think it is very true.
If you can look forward and make plans and act on them as you have outlined here, then you will be in a more optimistic frame of mind and that will spill out into your writing and speaking in every way .
That will give you an air of confidence and people will want to know more about you .
We often have all the answers inside ourselves and just need to listen to our own self talk to discover them.
