Whenever I post some question only very few get responses. Only one question of mine received 21 responses. Very recently I have posted two questions but none of the question has any responses. Am I wrong ? whether my questions are wrong or it does not suits to Mylotters? But to me , that question were put after along thought and it may be useful to Mylotters and other viewers.

Hi venkatachary, There are a few reasons why our discussions does not have any response or low of response(s). 1. Restrict Discussion If your discussion only focus to certain people then only certain people can respond to it. Experience, geographical and technical discussion usually have small number of responses because not everybody has that experience, knew the area or knew the technical aspect that required by your discussion. 2.Time of posting. Mylot members came from all around the world but the most come from USA, India and Philippine. If you post your discussion when less people login here then the possibility of your discussion being respond to is smaller. Just try to observe what is the time when most of mylot members login according to your time. For your information, Saturday and Sunday is not suitable for posting a discussion because less mylotter login. 3. Numbers of friends. Have a large number of friends has its advantage because even though they are not around when we post our discussions, they can see it from "friends started" tab. It is easier to find certain friend discussions in our "friends started" tab then in the "new" tab. One more thing is if our friends "ON" their notification on us then whenever we started a new discussion, they will receive an e-mail about it. So, the possibility for our discussion receiving a larger number of responses is higher. There are a few other factor that contribute to our "no response" discussions. One thing for sure is there is nothing wrong with your discussion because we can discuss anything in here as long as its not break any guidelines.

hello! maybe you should post in the right topics- there where the most of the members are, and also try to post quality and interesting topics, so that many people can respond to it. don't post discussions that are to only certain circle of people , post discussions for the masses!

Your topics yesterday were too scientific. Although health is important to us, but in my opinion, I don't find it interesting.Sorry for that.

Hello venkatachary. I don't think you are wrong. I too has similar experiences when I started out. I couldn't figure why I didn't get a lot of responses. But, I never gave up. I kept at it. Making my title, topic, and discussions as interesting as possible. Only then could I expect some responses. It also helps if you have a few friends that you exchange discussions and responses with. Good luck to you!

if you look for quantity, then that's a disappointment. if you look for quality, on the other hand, perhaps one response is all you need as an answer to your question. more would be a bonus obviously because you get to see more options, more ideas to make an informed judgement/decision. no response at all, well just wait. it may take a slightly longer time perhaps. otherwise, you would like to evaluate your question again and see where changes could be made and repost.

You have rightly said that waiting also sometimes bring more responses. I shall wait for the quality question that I post to get responses. Happy Mylotting.

I have this problem too and I have created many disscussion sthat have gone unanswered and numerous ones that have just exploded with responses and comments as well. I dont take any of it personally. I just look at it as some discussions are labelled as hot topics and othes have to wait their turn to find the right person to answer and give a thick, juicy response. Happy mylotting. :)

Well, it doesn't mean that you're wrong or something, I think. I've also have been through the discussions that get only several answers. People are different, everyone has his/her own interests. Try concentrating your discussions on wider range of people by asking something general, something that lot of people have in common. Too detailed discussions, that pinpoint one certain topic or problem may attract only a limited number of people, who are really interested in the topic.

Mylot responses can vary greatly. It can depend on the topic and where you post the topic, "life" is a popular category that most people will see, in some specific categories there might only be a few people watching. It can also depend on the time of day that you post and who is on-line then. It can be weird. Sometimes you put out a trivial post and get dozens of responses and a serious post might only get a couple.

Everyone that has responeded to you here makes valid points. Another thing you have to consider is are the topics you are discussing something that a large number of people have knowledge in. After looking at your profile and the questions that you had posted, I would say that the question regarding wife's medical condition would have a limited number of people that should respond due to the fact that hopefully anyone responding would have either medical training or have the same issue themself. The other question at hand regarding the queue may look somewhat daunting to posters as when I think of a queue, I think in terms of computer programing and I certainly don't want to dive into that subject either. Consider word choice and who you are looking to respond when consider the number of response you get to a certain topic.

Thanks. You have gone through the question that I have posted.I have posted My wife's health condition because when my wife was injection insulin dependent can be switched over to tablets. Because many Doctors told me that very seldom people switch over like this.Actual fact is that Doctors simply continue to same medicine advocated by other Doctors. So, the fact I want to share with the Mylotters .Happy Mylotting.

I got response in all my discussion. Moreover i got 41 response in one discussion. So it's cool. Well mylotter don't response any discussion when they don't like the topic i think. Usually i response a discussion when i like the topic and when it's not too too big. Well i like your topic that's why response your discussion. Happy Lotting!
