Anyone try the Emery Cat?

I saw this 30 second infomercial for a Emery Cat wich is supposed to be a special board cats are to use instead of scratching the furniture & be attracted to it by the cat nip inside it. Looks interesting but I dunno that'll do any good in our house. But if it does work it's too late they already have their own scratching furniture items that are not looking very good because of it.
here's the lil dity....

Moomin would probably destroy it LOL He has a couple of scratch posts but he uses the furniture and the cat nip wouldn't really hold his attention for very long.

i've been debating getting one.
most cats i've had love stealing emery boards,so i bet they really would use it.
i hope they have replacement pads tho.

If I had a cat I might be tempted to get this item. But any cats of mine would probably prefer the furniture! I've seen cats with catnip and it's funny and heartwarming but I don't see how it would entice them to use the board.

That's one of those things that's an iffy situation. I personally don't own one, and I don't plan to. The two cats I've got are the two cutest cats, but they react differently to catnip. Sure their claws would get a work-out, but so would their teeth. My cat Precious for example loves to eat cat nip. Then roll in it. My cat Chinnia looks like she'd have a sezure. I like to control their catnip intake and with the emery cat, based on its design, I wouldn't be able to.
