Reported...? o.O

that is the thing with mylot, just because someone dosnt like something You said dosnt give them the right to report any one. Everyone is entitled to there opnion.

Hi tessah! Nothing has really changed in this respect. There's a big difference between stating facts and opinions and being passionate about them - and flaming. Flaming isn't allowed. Passionate debates are more than welcome! Yes, you can be reported because someone doesn't like what you have to say, but that doesn't mean your post will be removed. Someone disagreeing with you is NOT a valid reason to report and the report will be dismissed. If the same person continues to submit false reports then we'll take it up with that person, not you. Make sense?

Hey Tess! Listen It doesnt surprise me that you said something someone doesnt like and they reported you. It seems that some use this as a way to protect themselves. ARE THEY SERIOUS? They can report whatever they want to myLot as long as you havent threatened anyone I dont think they care. As some of the other responses have said they welcome heated debates. I wouldnt worry about it. Usually they would delete the discussion. I have had this happened to me before and all they did was delete the discussion. They didnt even send me a reason or anything. I wouldnt lose sleep over it. I would just try and remember who it was and the next time avoid them. Sometimes they try to bait you. Some people have nothing better to do. Hang with the big dogs. It is crazy to get reported just because someone doesn't agree with you. That just isn't right and shouldn't; be done, but unfortunately, it happens more than it should in here. I only report those that are rude and calling others names. Shoot, I don't agree with everyone all the time either, but I am certainly not going to report them, as we all have a right to our opinion, whether right or wrong. I think the ones that report others because of disagreements, are nothing but troublemakers. I am sure that in time, mylot deals with them. Good luck to you and happy mylotting.

How would we know if someone reported our discussion? would we received a message from admin?

maybe they dont like your answer or they thought that is against the rules. but if you could report a user the one factor that you have to consider is if the topic or respond is abusive.

If you go back to the discussion and post her profile page link, Alice may show up. OR you could report their comments back to you if they are threatening or against guidelines, then mylot admins will look into it and decide who the abusers are, you or them? IF at all. Or you could simply use the contact mylot link at the bottom of the page and state your case so they will look into it. Alice has assured us that just because someone reports something does not mean it will be deleted, that they reveiw every report personally. I have great faith in Alice. She is definitely making this a much more hospitable place for all of us.
