One of my freinds attended an interview and was asked a question to test her aptitude, attitude, knowledge and logic, "How to move Mt.Fuji?"
Many people i asked this question to gave the kind of answer she had given - and was disqualified - move around the mountain, move around so that mountain will seem to move etc etc.
The main facts one would be forced to consider (accourding to the interviwer) were:
-mt fuji is an (active) volcano - (recently) eruppted in 1700s
-its in japan
-it is large and has many small volcanos along its way to the top
Can anyone tell me what could possibly be the answer the interviewer was expecting?

That's one tricky question huh?? I dun really know how to answer but can give it a try?? haha =D
I wont move round the mountain, but instead, i will climb it instead!! As such, i'm moving up the mountain, making the mountain going down at the same time.. So by time, i reached the peak of it, the mountain is being moved to the bottom of my feet, and i'm standing on top of the world.. lol =D

In Japan Mt. Fuji is known as Fuji san, meaning Mr Fuji, therefore all that is needed is to find a Mr Fuji and move him!
all the best urban

Thanks for sharing your views. Faith can move mountains - but not literally.
Perhaps they were searching for people who don't think anything is impossible - and will give even irrational ideas a shot to make it possible with all their creativity - or they wouldn't ahve suggested pondering on practical points such as the size or location of mt fuji.
Thanks anyway.

Thanks for taking time to read though this - it's been torturing me for a long time.
I didn't know Archie said something like that - its great, thanks. It also has a lot of relevance to the question - at the time archie was talking about levers and pulleys that could move anything once placed - he was mainly talking about ships, and other detachable items (even though he did say (mt. fuji or the earth)).
Thanks this is a great answer - you would have got through that interview!
