Okay, many people who have children know that keeping them and your home completely spotless is rarely possible. If you know how to do this, please let me know.

When I had children I learned very quickly that if I tried to keep my house spotless I would go insane! I settled for keeping it clean and comfortable and if I didn't have time to dust or pick up all the toys, it looked "lived in". Just as my grandma said, a spotless house has no personality. She also said that a dirty child is a happy child--it showed that the child had been busy having fun and dirt never harmed anyone. That's not to say your house should be a pigsty or that your child should be caked in filth, but you should not expect yourself to be perfect. Life is too short to be a perfectionist!

Thank you for your insight. I greatly appreciate it. I too have learned that I would go insane. But, my children were never caked in dirt, but I dont expect myself to be perfect, but DHS does expect me to be perfect in everything that I do. I hate that they do this, I mean even they arent the perfect parent, but they expect you to be.

Check their closets! I would bet money that when company comes over, people start stuffing their closets full of the stuff that was lying around the house!
