Getting ready For Easter?

So have you already started making plans for Easter? I was on the phone last week end inviting people to my house for dinner. There'll be about 20 some people along with several children. After a huge dinner we are planning a just as huge Easter egg hunt. This week end we're going out to buy some plastic eggs which will be filled with everything from money to candy. we're also coloring eggs but the kids are gonna like the plastic one's so much better. I'm just praying that we have very nice weather that day. It would be much harder to try to hide eggs indoors. The day before I'll be working my butt off getting ready for this but there's nothing I enjoy more then entertaining. some of my guests are planning on going to church first so we'll probably eat around 2. What plans are you making for Easter? Are you planning an Easter egg hunt for the little one's? They are just so cute out there trying to find all those eggs!

Oh my gosh as much as I love entertaining I would give it up this year to be going to the Bahamas. i'm very jealous, lol. I was going to wish you a fun time but I don't think you're gonna have to worry about that. Enjoy yourself and have fun scuba diving!

My partner and I will be away for a few days over the Easter break, and we are hoping the weather will be kind to us.

I haven't gone too far in my plans...It's usually the same every year...we have a ham dinner..and do the egg hunt here. I love hiding them so the kids struggle to find them...it makes it more fun! We used to go to the local egg hunt at the church but then it got so crazy that we only came home with one egg! So it's a lazy day of eating lots of things we shouldn't LOL

I can't say mine is going to be a lazy day but it will be a very fun day. And trust me we'll be eating a ton of things we shouldn't as well but I can't wait. YUM YUM

We don't really celebrate Easter Sunday here. We just go to church and pray. NO egg hunting and stuff

Since it is my husband and I we will go out to eat then spend time with our friends. It is hard since we do not have kids. I am hoping that by next year we will have a child. The cats will get some tuna fish as a surprise. The cats always get a treat for the holidays.

I think that is so sweet about your cats. I love my cats too. And they get surprises all the time.

The upcoming Easter means that me and my choir will be busy practicing songs for the Easter. And of course, Hallelujah by Handel will be sung on Easter day. We also hid eggs in the church vicinity for kids. We usually put candies and small amounts of money in the eggs. I hope this year's Easter day will be fun.

We don't have any big dinner plans, but we intend to have an easter egg hunt at our clubhouse. A nephew is currently staying with, which makes 3 kids in our house alone. So, with their friends and neighbors, we will do an egg hunt and maybe some pizza afterwards. We got the eggs, the chocolates, and candies in a closet already. Hopefully they last, as I've seen the three alternately sneaking into the closet!

Sounds like a great plan and I'm sure you will thoroughly enjoy it. My wife and I actually for the first time in several years have decided for it to be an "us" weekend. Plus, I've been trying to get her new mudroom complete (wife loves to work in the yard as I do). So right now I'm doing tile work along with the fun stuff (grout, etc.) and I'll finish up with the paneling and accessories. Usually we do have guests for a big dinner or we go visit but this year we thought that would be a great way to celebrate together. Have a great one!
