Well I'm little bit of a international news fanatic so I usually have BBC recorded over night so I can wake up and see first thing what happened around the world, while I was asleep. I know sometimes or usually their isn't much good happening in the world but I love to be informed what is the latest happenings before I leave the house never know one day could be a comet heading to earth I may need to know (lol). How about you? What channel do you check out first??

It all depends on the time of day I turn on the t.v. Now that I am not working I usually don't watch t.v., and opt to mylot for a little while during the day, then I'll play a video game, and wait for my husband to get home from work. Usually when he gets home we'll fix something to eat and I'll watch The Nanny on Nick at Nite, now it is a George Lopez Marathon, so it's George Lopez that I watch, whilst hubby plays a video game. When I worked in the daytime I would watch Dr. Oz, Rachael Ray, and sometimes bits and pieces of Martha Stewart.

We have a 360 and a wii, game cube, n64, and nomad. We play the 360 the most right now, as we're both playing GTA IV. We usually play games together, likw GRAW was one of our favorites to play together. We have three remotes so when a friend comes over we can play a game altogether now.

I use to be a nick at nite fanatic and then the shows kinda drastically changed I guess with the times. George lopez I'll check out periodically but it has been a while. I have to admit I have to have a xbox360 night at least twice a week and otherwise all attention is on my lady when she gets home she loves the Dr Oz and Rachel rays when she has a few of those taped it is xbox live time lol.

As a kid I used to watch cartoon channel then I turned to watch music channels when I used to start television. It depends on the time when I turn on my television if its night time then I may check Ten Sports to check WWE. These days IPL is going on in our country so it also has telecast more often if not live then highlights of the past matches. So these days I am check MAX where IPL is showed. If not IPL then I may watch music channels or even sometimes local news channels.

No, I am talking about Indian Premiere League which is a 20-20 Cricket Tournament. Sony MAX is the channel is showing all the matches live. Even these cricket matches have live streaming on Youtube as well as some Multiplex Theaters in India. It is very popular event in Cricketing History.

I normally put the BBC news on first thing in the morning, to catch up on what has been happening in the world. I like to watch our local news and weather too, at least I can be prepared if the weather is likely to be bad.
• United States

That is exactly how I like to do it also BBC first local second, and there is nothing like knowing the weather right before you leave the house.

It has to be Sky News! This is my favourite channel and I always make sure that I am tuned into this when I'm having my breakfast in the mornings. I would say that 85 per cent of the time I am tuned into this channel! I think it's important to stay in touch with what is going on in the world and these are my reasons for choosing this channel. In the evenings I tend to focus on ITV and I love watching the soaps at that time. I think it certainly helps to pass the time when there isn't much going on and it makes for wonderful background noise! I hardly watch any of the other news channels, I think I have a strategy that works! Andrew

In the morning, when i open our television, I would immediately turn the channel to CNN. I am just like you, I like being informed and updated before going to work. I just don't feel right when I leave the house and I was not able to watch CNN in the morning. weird i know.

As far as I am concerned, I think I will just turn on at the NBA channel, which Is the channel I enjoy it most .For me, I think I am a person who like the basketball so much. If I do not play the basketall a day, I will feel uncomfortable in my heart. So I will usually play the basketball evryday ,then if there i a NBA on live, I will watch it as soon as possible.

As for me, I don't usually watch news. I easily get affected, so I'd rather want to be entertained. So channels, I would always check first are movie and music channel. I wish it would be a lot easier for me to watch news like you do. But sometimes there are things that I'd rather not know because it would take days before I can take it out of my head. I know its weird but I think it works for me.

Not weird at all if you prefer to skip news first thing, I cope with it because my job relates to a lot of world events so I like to stay up on it. But with so much laws etc passing that can effect personally these days im even more glued but I respect if you take time before checking out the news.

Doesn't really matter to me. I will just watch whatever's on when I last turned the t.v. on. But I will change it to whatever show I would feel like watching whether it be a drama, sitcom, reality or even a game show. I just like to see what would interest me.

ESPN. I am a girl, but I love sports.
• United States
19 Mar 10
Hey nothing wrong with the ladies and sports, kinda of a good thing lol. If that is the last channel I watched and I put it on the next morning and it is on a sport I'm not interested in or commercial, then it is straight to news but after that yes ESPN is right back on, there is always a good highlight waiting to be seen.
17 Mar 10
I turn on to Sky News as my first port of call before the kids get out of bed, then after breakfast it usually gets turned over to cbeebies. At the moment my eldest is liking Charlie and Lola so she watches that before setting off to school. If I had to chose my favorite television chanel it would have to be Five.

I don't think I can receive sky news unless I'm missing it on the guide somewhere but I check it out online when possible, because its a good source for news everywhere. If you are in the states what channel does it come on?
