Hi,
I was watching "16 Blocks" movie today when one of the protagonists (Eddie) came up with a interesting riddle.
"Imagine you are driving through a severe hurricane and at a bus stop you see three people: a dying old lady, your best friend and the love of your life. You only have room on your car for one person. Who do you pick up?"
What would be your answer?

You answered close to the other guy on the movie (Bruce Willis character) did. He said something like that
"You give the car keys to your best friend, who takes your car and drive the old lady to a hospital. You stay behind with the love of your life".

I will pick the old lady first. I will return later for the other two after sending the old lady to a safe place. If not I will ask others help so they can fetch the old lady and best friend while I take with me my girl. I would tell my best friend where to meet later.

Let's pretend that you don't have enough time to make two rides, what means you cannot go and back again.

That's a tough one. It's a difficult choice between the love of my life and my best friend. I'd leave the dying old lady because she has had a long life and she is already dying (even though I wouldn't want to).
The more I think about it the more I am leaning towards my best friend. In an ideal world I would pick up all three and put the dying lady sitting on the lap of the love of my life in the car while having my best friend curled up in the boot.
