My cat constantly wants love and affection. he loves being pet, and he's usually purring while I pet him. he always wants attention he's always looking at me and putting his little paws up for love my goodness lol, I wonder if this is normal for some cats?
I find this affectionate behaviour a bit odd because my old cat that I use to have years ago was not like this and never wanted to be bothered much she was a girl, but the cat I have now is a neutered mail, sweety and a stormy at the same time if ya'll could only see how he is stormy meaning one minute very energetic and the next sweet and loving adorable.
Anyway, is your cat affectionate in a way similar to what I described in this topic and is this normal for some cats or do you think its somthing else.

My cat Smyles is the same way. As a matter of fact my husband's best friend Bob came over the other day and jumped in his arms. It was the cutest thing. Our friend was so surprised that Smyles reacted this way. We have never seen our cat do that before. Smyles also would not let Bob's wife sit next to him.
I am not sure if your cat does this, but my cat Smyles also likes to watch his favorite television show (The Young and the Restless). He actually sits on the remote and prevents me from changing the channel.

my cat does this... he will greet me when i come in the door and put up his paws so i will pick him up---like a little kid. he will lay by my keyboard (he is now!) purr and look at me upside down and you can see the love in his eyes, its so cute! and if i give him a kitty kiss he will grab my head with both paws and rub his head on mine lol

It's very normal, Moomin constantly demands affection and attention, and shows his love too. He will head-butt me sometimes, wanting fuss and attention, and he will loudly miouw and *talk* to me as well

Maybe he is just a really friendly cat. I have a female cat and she hasnt hit a year old yet. But she is always rolling around on the ground and she meows like crazy even after Ive fed her. Or sometimes she will just sleep for hours. But i think whats going on with your cat is normal.

Be happy you have a loving cat that is still with you. I lost my loving cat back a few months ago and still miss her awful much. I thought of getting a kitten and replacing her but you never can replace the love of a good loving cat. And yes a cat that loves to be held and cuddled. You are lucky. Cherish the time you have with your cat and love her back just as much. You are truly blessed.

I had a cat named Ramses who was REALLY affectionate. He even slept in bed with me like a puppy dog.
My current cat, Moe, pretty much hates people. She will let me scratch her head, but thats about it.
I think every cat is different. Some love affection, some not so much.

I have cats that are like that. My cat Chinnia for example tends to be like that sometimes. She always wants some kind of attention even from complete strangers. And, we don't mind as long as those strangers don't take her away from us. (which they haven't so far) but she's a real motter boat when they come into our apartment for whatever reason.

I think that is kind of normal. I said kind of normal because i am sometimes pissed off with our neutered male. He will not leave us alone! He always want to hop in on laps and curl himself comfortably. My husband will let him but i do not like it. He is very warm and he is such a big boy he hardly fits on my lap. He is super affectionate just like your cat, when i do not give him attention, sometimes he scares me when he'd stay on top of my comp and starts to stare at my face like he is about to attack. lol

We experienced just the opposite. Don't know if it has anything to do with his being neutered at 3 months, but our Max was not very sociable his first few years.
At 6 years old, he likes to trap us while we are on the toilet and demand we rub him! Herd us into the kitchen and demand to be fed! Wait for us to go to sleep and pull out all his toys (bells, chirpers and all) I can't brush our Pomeranian without him demanding his turn! He also steals my pillow every night and now I have nowhere to lay my head.
