Can I make $235 in just 8 weeks?

I am official $235 poorer as my visa credit card was debited so that I could purchase a flight ticket. I am not much in favour of using visas as debit interest continues to accumulate from one month to another if you don’t pay the balance in a month’s time.
Anyway I had thought about several creative ways of how I could earn some extra money and pay back the flight ticket! Going to a busy street with a bucket of water and a chamois to clean window screens while cars are passing by, selling flowers, distributing newspapers, but finally I have decided otherwise ?
Can I make $235 from online jobs in just 8 weeks? Do you think it is possible? Any suggestions would be welcome!

I know the feeling ronaldinu. However, I think you would have a better chance of making at least part of the money by cleaning windows, etc than trying to make it on line. Still, it's a good idea to ask people here on myLot for suggestions as some of them I am sure will be able to come up with some good suggestions...and I will be watching eagerly to see how it is done. Then we can all clear our credit cards and not have to pay all the interest every month.

If you had a Wii and stuff that goes with it to sell on ebay, that would be a big chunk of change. If you had crafts that you could sell and etsy and were lucky, you might be able to do that. You'd need both and to be lucky enough for them to sell. I sold a massage table, a watch, and a piece of jewelry. I made about $300. I used an ebay store to take pictures, write copy, and sell the things for me online. They took 33.4%. So I would have had much more if I had sold the items myself.

Selling unwanted stuff is a good idea. I am trying to use other methods rather than Ebay. I guess they have to charge a percentage in order to make a living. Thanks for your tips.

Since I don't have a camera and a staging area, their help worked for me. But there are other ways. Unused or seldom used big ticket items are your best bet. Furniture and tools sell well where I live.

FOrget Ebay - just have a yard sale! Have a couple! My daughter and I used to have three every summer...May, July and September... and we'd make $500 between us each time... she had a daughter and always had more stuff than I did, so the last one dwindled low for me and I had literally run out of things to sell and I hadn't been buying things lately. But even the third one was $100 for me. YOu'll be surprised at how much you have that you really don't need or even want. Plus since you have to have money...you'll find things that you will find you want to sell so that you can make sure you get that extra money. Declutter! Have a yard sale! Make money! Pay bills!

I do use my visa card for forex trading, and i am glad to say that my visa CC has credit limit also...i also get points which i can redeem for gifts, i made CC only for that purpose and my CC has the limit of only 200$ which i have used and also earned on it...so i have never regretted using CC, and i will soon double its value.

To be honest, I don't think I could make that $235 in 8 weeks, as the best I have every done from my programs is around $120 when I had loads of active referrals on one of my programs - that was about a year ago. As the weeks went by more and more of my referrals stopped being active and try as I may, I couldn't make it any different.
I think that I will get back to that position again, but it will be slower as active referrals are difficult to find, but I have notice that once I do find them, they tend to stay with the program and find referrals of their own. A few more years perhaps and things will be different. _Derek

Hi, ronaldinu!
I've read several posts in which people claim to earn that and more.but I've never read one I thought was real. They were usually attempts to sell a "program" of some sort...

Thanks for your reply cobrateacher. I think it depends on how much time you devout to online work. Even thought $120 is not out of hand you have to work really hard to get it.

To be fair $120 a month is not an unrealistic target, If you wanted $1200 I would say you were lining yourself up to be scammed - I made £156 ($240) in January:
http://www.munny4hunny.com/2010/03/february-earnings.html
and will make more this month (would have made more than my £7 in feb if I hadn't spent so much investing in a new project idea...).

That's about the amount I make each month, Ronald, and it is very hard work!

Sorry, I dont have any "get-rich-quick" ideas for you. It sounds as tho you are already addressing it by taking on extra supervision & maybe thinking of selling your unwanted good. Do you have car boot sales/ yard or garage sales there?
$235 would be an awful lot of myLot rewards (needless to say, I'll be watching for more useful suggestions being added here...)

Maybe Alice or the admin would take pity of me and instead of rewarding me 23cents for using the Mylot search engine she will end up adding a few extra zeros at the end!

In a whole year..yeah but in 8 weeks no..I wish I didn't because I would be doing it myself. Especially times like these are hard. I don't do credit cards because I can't afford to..I also don't have a steady income. So..really no sense in me even trying to get one. But good luck with that okay.. I hope you find something that works for you to make enough money to pay for the flight ticket.

Hi Ronaldinu,
Sorry to hear that you have to try and accumulate that kind of money on such short notice. I agree that selling unwanted stuff can make money fast, but online it's kind of hard except if you are a good (copy)writer. I have no sites for that though, as I am still looking for such oppertunities myself. In eight weeks is indeed a short period... I'll let you know if I think of something else!

$30 a week shouldn't be that hard....... but when I sat and thought about it - it is! Car boot sales, a paper round! I think that you will struggle online. I have read so many "how to get work online" discussions and there is no simple answer. You can complete surveys or do more discussion sites like this one. The truth is that it is extremely difficult, if it wasn't we would all be making money. So all that I can offer is moral support. Good luck.

I think the quicker way to earn 235 dollars is to get yourself a part time job - anything goes, anything that you're willing to do and can do. Online jobs are slow, and unless you get really really lucky, that's the only time you can actually get a good sum of money from online "jobs". There are ways to earn money here and they make it sound so promising BUT, you'll be required to buy their software or pay the membership fee, which I am not willing to pay for so I've never tried any of these sites. If you're in need of cash a.s.a.p. the last thing you'd want to do is spending them more.

Thanks for your reply. Thats what I am trying to do, even though it would be temporary. I do agree that earning from online jobs are little but every little helpsl

I'd say kiss any type of social life you may have had good bye because seriously online earning is not easy when it comes to making and actually recieving money. That's a lot of money to make in just two months. If you were on several sites that actually paid good cash then I'd say probably. Hm.... ever heard of clod crowd on facebook? It has some projects that may help you out a little bit.

Hi kaylachan I do understand than in order to earn online you have to say goodbye to your social life as you have to dedicate your time to on-line work. To be honest the pay is not that great but its better than nothing. I have not heard of clod crowd no, why?

With your english skills, I think you would do good on it. Its an application on face book. You do tasks like here on mylot, and you get paid for them within two days to paypal. No minium payout. What you earn is what you get. I've been paid a few times, but my poor spelling has prevented me from doing the more higher-paid tasks. If you're interested I could send you a ref or something. Someone else got me on it, and it may help you earn that extra cash you need. Maybe not as quickly as you would want, but maybe it'll help you out.

I've sold almost a $1000 worth of stuff on Craigslist. I've sold film and digital cameras that I don't use any more, a receiver, a bike, cultured stone, a dog house, 45 records, speakers, a phonograph, and services from my home-based business, to name a few. You get a lot of junk e-mails with Craigslist, but it's free and you do sell stuff on it.

$235 is a feat on online jobs. I recommend combining your ideas with online jobs. Maybe start a savings account.
These are just my recommendations, talk this to your friends, also.

MOney earn are meant to be spent!! Since u are spending for something u have always wanted to do, and thus it's worth it!!
THe more u try to earn it back, the higher chance of u using credit card again, the next time round!!
Why?? Because u know that, u can always be making back the money, as long as it's within budget! lol =D

I'm bonkers at this.. I don't have any good ideas on how to earn $235 in 8 weeks. The only thing I can think of is selling stuffs like a yard sale like someone has mentioned.. or if there are survey positions in your area.. like they go piece by piece completed.. that might be a bit worth a try.

I am new to online earning and the only possible way I can think of is to do some freelancing job. There are other methods like selling stuffs on ebay. But earning $235 in 2 months seems way out of reach to me. Best of luck...
If you achieve this please let us know how you did it.
happy mylotting

When I have needed money quickly I have tried private teaching. You can teach about your favourite skill and get money too. The bad point is that is not easy to find students, so you can't really get that much money as you need most of the times with that method
You can try it anyway, you never know if you'll find students quickly

Its true 8 weeks is not enough for you to earn that much, your just too ambitious. But there is no harm in trying. You could try and once you prove it, share it here in myLot ok. For sure lots of us will follow your discussions.
