Just caught 2 episodes of this new show and it's very entertaining. I know that in part it's being done so that the CEO's and Management can get a sense of how their employees do their jobs and how they like the company but it also gives an interesting insight into how companies are run. I saw the Churchill Downs episode and it really brought home just how many people it takes to run that kind of a company. And the Hooters episode where the male mgr was such a jerk to the girls really needed a wake up call. Can't imagine how embaressed he must have been to have the world see what a jerk he is and how demeaning he was to his staff. And the flip side is that I am sure some companies are doing it for the publicity but it's entertaining none the less! Have you seen it and if so, what do you think of it?

I missed the Churchill Downs and the Hooters episodes but I saw a couple of the other epsiodes. I love this show. I worked in the corporate environment for many years and one of the most frustrating things about it is that you are only as good as the guy who is interacting with your customers and you really don't know how that customer is being treated or what the challenges that the people out in the field have. Every CEO and every member of his management team should have to do this.

I completely agree with you! So many times, upper management has no clue as to how their customers are really being treated or even how their employees feel about their jobs and the company. I know that when I am not getting the service I need from a person in customer service, I will escalate it and so often have been apologized to and told that my request was reasonable and within the scope of what the cust service rep could have done. So it shows that training might be needed or at least an attitude change. So many times, the manager had no idea of how the customers were being treated until someone like me points it out. But what happens after I get my issue resolved, likely nothing since real change has to come from the real upper management. One of the CEO's, I'm not sure which one, made a point that he works with spreadsheets and statistics all day and he can lose sight of what really makes a company successful, the people who work there! Maybe it'll be abit of a wake up call to other major corporations that they should think not just about the numbers but the people behind it all. Thanks for sharing! Take care!

I have seen several episodes and absolutely love it! The one on Hooters I think was my favorite. That guy was really a jerk, I think he should've been fired. Anyway, this is a great show. Anyone who hasn't seen it should make it a point to do so. I also really liked the one on Waste Management, did you see that one?

Yes, I just was able to see the one on Waste Mgmt since I have cable on demand. I was amazed how fast folks were supposed to be able to grab items on that conveyer belt before it went onto the next step. He was terrible at it, but then again, I am sure I would be awful at it too. He really tried hard and treated everyone like regular people, not standoffish at all. It showed alot of his character how well he took being put down for not being able to do some tough yet vital manual labor. The fellow that was in charge of him while he was supposed to clean up the trash from that hillside was amazing! I have now added it to my favorite listings so it'll tapee each new one. I think what was amazing is how genuine and humble some to the CEO's were. Yes, they lived very very well but they didn't have snobbish attitudes which was refreshing. I also think that the Hooters fellow should have been fired since he was a real liability for a hostile work environment lawsuit but maybe eating some humble pie will turn him around. I am fairly certain that he'll be very closely watched and terminated if need be. Overall this show is refreshing and unique and I really like it. Thanks for sharing!! Take care!
