no win situations

I was just wondering if anyone has been in a big no win situation. I am a tennis coach. And recently, I had two girls who wanted to play with the same person, who was very good. Obviously, both of them could not play with her. So I just did what was the right thing. And the other girl and her family got really mad at me. Everyone else except them could see this was the right thing. So let me know your stories of complete no win situations.
