I probably think I am also learning disabled. I keep forgetting whats on my plate. Could be I'm not really disabled but just plain lazy when it comes to learning new things. But to share what I do to learn, I think of my health first. If I am sick I can't learn because I'm bedridden. When this block has been eradicated the next thing to keep is concentration. Without concentration it is impossible to learn a serious lesson. To enable concentration the student must stay in a quiet environment. Distractions would do worse to concentration. About values only three sentences would be needed and the student will learn that. I wonder who doesn't. Some students would bully but the learning disabled will not be bothered merely by that so I guess the situation is simple and the point is the student must learn what he or she must learn.

My first thought as I read your post is what is the position of the school in teaching values. Second, what are the backgrounds of the students. Third, what are the family values of these students? Before teaching students values, you need to answer these questions because as important as it is to teach and value you must respect that people have diverse backgrounds and family values. Some values that I think teachers can and should teach are respect, team work, cooperation, citizenship, trustworthness, and caring. I'm a big proponent of Dinosaur School: The Incredible Years for teaching students about my important values in life. The program teaches students about feelings, emotions, problem solving, finding a solution, consequences, being a good student, team work, cooperation, and anger management.

i can't say much in this matter because i know it is very hard to teach them. I have two pupils who need special teacher to teach them but my school was not provided with one. I have to be very patient with them but they usually makes me angry sometimes but i keep on telling myself if my own child have the same problem i wouldn't want their teacher to treat them bad. So what i do, i have to teach them separately even though this actually divide my attention. These two pupils should be place in a different class but the school has none.
