is acer laptops build with high quality?

Acer was known for a long time as being one of the lower brands of computers, in general. They were always the cheapest, but because of that, they have cheaper parts, bothersome interface, and have a better chance of breaking down. That was years ago, though, and because of people having those kinds of problems, they went more towards the products that are a bit older, but work better. The older a computer part is, the cheaper it is, by a landslide, since computers generally double in power every 18 months. If you get a computer with all brand new technology, it can cost you even up to hundreds of thousands of dollars (last PC I bought was $10,000, but I got it more then a year before things like the PS3 came out, and my computer still had more power then them.) Now, about 5 years later, I bought a laptop, with the same power as that PC, and it cost around 900! To really find more, look for customer reviews on Acer computers. I think they still have a bit higher chance of breaking down then other brands, but they've gotten much better over the years.

well actually Acer is a good laptop brand but there are others are even better like ASUS, MSI, Toshiba, Delll and HP. All these brands are cheap depending what kind of spec you are looking for like specs for office work, entertainment or gaming. You must compare the processors, hard disk, GPU, RAM etc. For me i prefer either ASUS, MSI or Toshiba if you are looking for gaming + entertainment. All laptops are build with high quality btw i mean you spend a few thousand on a laptop....but an average laptop last bout 5-7 years depending how you use it

in my opinion not much even if i hard that in the past acer laptops was very cheap but their hardware was really low as quality so in many cases you bought an acer laptop and after some years you had problems linked to hardware!!Now acer laptops made changes to their ahrdware and it seemed a little bit better but personally i don't trust much on this computer brand even i their prices are good!!

I think all my acer laptops have lasted a long time. i broke the screen before any parts broke. one of my toshiba laptops overheated and falled like after 2 years

I have been using an Acer laptop for the last 4 years and it has not given me problems so far. I agree with Masterchief93's comments about Acer and laptops in general. I think Acer's laptops are built with high quality components especially the newer units.
