When I get a boyfriend, I would call him oppa as what most Koreans call to their boyfriends.ehehe.I want to use an endearment that couples rarely use in my country.I want it unique as possible. So, I'd rather use an endearment from other countries. How about you?

Yes girls love to be treated as babies when they are with their boy friends, even I treat my boy friend like my small cute baby! Though he is quite taller than me, and I look like a small girl next to him, still I treat him as my child! Love is just about caring each other as if the other person is a small baby!

my husbands call me "baby", i don't know what's he's reason but he would always say that he will take good care of me til we get old, like a baby. i am flattered and i also call him the same way.

Hi Marcie,
I remember the term, "Habibi" for an Egyptian boy friend.
Sweetie, Cutie, Honey, Sweetheart, Babe, Spunky are terms of endearment that I look back to with joy in my heart.
A friend of mine calls her husband, "Palangga" which means beloved. it's really funny because even when they fight and hurl ugly words at each other, she still calls him, "Palangga."
Oppa is something new and beautiful. Thanks for sharing, dear.
Have a fabulous day, Mars.

My favorite is Baby. He is my Baby. He loves it! But there are so many English/American ones. I like what the English use, Love. There is Sweetheart. I like that one too.

I call my boyfriend "baby". I think it's sweet. I used to hate the term "baby" but when I met my boyfriend now, everything changed and now I love calling him "baby". It's like in almost every song.

A very sweet discussion you have started. I too would like to know more names which the couples use to call each other. I have thought of many strange unusual names which sound sweet to both of us. For example, I call him "puchu" and he calls me "pupu" hehe lol I know they sound very strange but like them and they sound childish to me, I am a kid in nature, so I love calling him in a chuckling voice all such names. Some more names are mushu, kuchi, munu etc. Of course, we do call each other sweetheart and darling, but my invented words are most often used I am sharing my secrets names here, please dont disclose outside this discussion psst psst

Now I know why you mylot username is pupu. I learned that you're from India. But your endearment is not applicable in our province because it's a term for a gross thing.hehe.Anyway, may your relationship stay stronger as the years pass by.

Hello marcela,
I know a friend of mine that calls her bf "oppa". I agree it's quite unique.
My boyfriend and I calls each other "honey", hon for short. We are so used to it we rarely call each other by our real names. When he's in a cuddly mode, he calls me his honeybunny, mahal ko (meaning my love) or baby. the cheesier, the sweeter.

Me and my girlfriend live in Sweden, but she is originally from the Philippines. We have loads of cheesy names for each other. Usually she calls me beb, bebe, my lab (my love - Pinoy style, haha)or älskling, which is darling in Swedish. I like to call her Pinoy names like mahalko, irogko (like, the deepest meaning of my sweetheart). It is nice to use Philippine words when living in Sweden, it makes it a bit more special and cute! So I really understand you wanting to use unique words for your loved one.

i just called them hunny, i mean in all of my relationship, then if im angry or mad to them i call them in their first name so they already know that im not in good mood towards them. i like to call hunny from the words honey which is very sweet and sticky. as i want my relationship to be like it, sweet and we stick together til the end.

I call my wife just about any term of endearment I feel calling her in a certain moment. But our standard endearment is "Luv"... Then we started calling each other "baby" if we are feeling snuggly or wanted be cute. =)
Sometimes I call her "babe".

Well, i call him hubby since he's my husband. Sometimes we call each other love bug. quite cheesy, I know! Before we got married, we called each other just plain baby, or 'mahal' which means 'love'.

Me? I always see to it that whenever I have a new serious boyfriend, we're going to use an endearment that nobody ever used to us before. It took us 2 months to figure it out, lol... And we came up to it one day when my grandmother visited me. I call my grandmother "nanay" which is another way of calling "mama" or "mother" in visayan dialect. Mostly older generations used that since most people especially the young generations are already westernized and thus call their parents daddy and mommy. So back to my story, since my boyfriend is an intellectual person and he always has the zest to learn our langiage, he immediately came up with the idea of calling me "nanay" and I too call him "tatay"! It was indeed sweet because at first, he pronounced it the way westerners pronounced it... But right now, he is learning our diction and it's even cuter...because not to mention, he is so cute too...
