Do you listen and follow your parents because you have to or because you want to, or both or none?

Because they know what's the best for their children, they will do no harm to their children, they want the whole good thing and the all best for their children,And a kind of respect to parents from a child to her/his parents to obey and to follow.
Happy myLotting!

Yeah, I agree with you cloud31. That's also the main reasons why I listen and follow my parents because they always told me that they loves me more than anything in this world and they only look after what's best for me, even though I didn't understand but I trust them and I'm actually glad that I listen to them.
There are some parents who were not good to their children those who were irresponsible and abusive parents, as we can't blame their children if they didn't listen and follow them. Anyway thank you for sharing with us and enjoy your day!

Parents are the well experienced teachers and role model for any kids. We listen to them because they are the one most cared for us and look for our well wishing great life. They can never think of harming us rather love more.

I think I listen and follow them because I have to, sometimes because I want to. I want to because if it what makes them happy, then I'll do that. But sometimes, if what they want me to do hurts me, then I have to.

So you mean that you listen your parents because of your responsibilities as a child? if that case you are a good child even if you didn't like and think that it is not good, still you follow and listen them because you respect your parents very much. Most parents feel satisfied and happy if they saw their children that they success in their life.

You are right ms. because our parents loved us so much so we better follow and listen to them because it is for our own sake. No parents want us from danger so, for me my parents is the best and best friend to me than anybody else. They taught me a good example and treat me like a precious. So, as a child ,we must be obey them, do what they want , and especially respect them with all heart.

hello :)
me?i listen to my parents because i want to and this is the least i can do for them to let them feel that i love them back because i really do love them,my whole family i love them,i know that sometimes some of their suggestions or advices will make you down or disappointed but i think they might know it better than us 'cause maybe they've already gone through those things, besides that because of listening to them i become so attached to my family and now i want to spend more time with them than to hang out with my friends,im so glad i have them with me :)?

Well, you are a good child to your parents. that's the way you show them that you love them always right? Not all children do that because they have their own attitude to wards their parents. I have a friend that he didn't like their parents because when he is a child before his mother try him to sell to their neighbors that why he think that his parents didn't love him that's why he had a strange feeling towards them.

God says to honour them so I try. But He's right because age does increase wisdom, knowledge and experience. Besides, we will e respected if we respect others. Or do we think how lovely those childhood tantrums are when little kids want something quite unreasonable?

Yeah, good parents taught us many things, especially about love, respect and responsibility those were major virtue that we must learn from them because it's important when we grown up and deal the reality by ourselves. That's why it's one of God's commandments to honor our parents because they brought us into this world and they know what's best for us and they love us. Anyway thank you for sharing with us and enjoy your day!

Oh I'm sorry to hear that ravenlady. maybe you are in your grandparents guidance so even if you didn't listen to your mother still she is your mother and we must respect them .But ,in your case, I didn't blame you because you are far of your mother's love and according to you, you didn't in home at the age of 133. so I think you must forgive your mother and try to think wide so that you feel better.

I think I follow my parents saying cos they always have good suggestion almost in anything. That's why I always tell everything with them, especially to my mother. she taught me patience and how to be grateful to everything we got. she could give advises so amazingly that I always follow what she said.

Yeah, oftentimes parents knows what's is best for us simply because they care and love us more than their self. And they only want what is best and good for us, they want us to grow to become a better and good person. And it takes time for us to realized and learn their love that's what I found, now I often listen and follow my mom compared on the past. Anyway thank you for sharing with us and enjoy your day!
