How do you decide where to go?

Most people try to take a vacation at least once a year whether it be with their significant other or with family. But how do you choose where you want to go? In my situation it is only myself and sometimes I might bring a guy friend, so I don't have to worry about kids or anything. I live in Florida and our big attraction is Orlando which has all the theme parks, since I am so close to it, I normally go on weekends or something. But when I decide to go on vacation I always want to go somewhere new. I really like cruising because I can see different ports in a short amount of days. I don't like flying too much but I will if I have to. Right now I am thinking about going to Las Vegas. I like big cities and to do big things. I really don't like going up to the mountains and enjoying peace and quiet to sit around.
Do you have a list of places you like to go, how do you plan your vacation?

My toddler son was born in 2007 and so I planned trips suitable for him. I took him to Portugal when he was 4 months old. Then I took him to Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia when he was 13 months old. I planned a long flight before he got to two years old which is when the airfare goes up. I took him to South Africa when he was 20 months old. Now I have my baby daughter and when she is eleven months old I will take her and my son who will be three years old to Canada. I have a long list of places on my travel wish list. I love beaches, cities, adventure and countryside. I like interesting culture and fascinating history. I adore traveling and it is my top hobby. I take at least one overseas trips a year and if I can two.

I hope that you will visit Europe soon. I have been to many lovely countries and favorites within Europe are Croatia and Montenegro. I adore Italy in particular. I am determined to continue traveling with my two young children. What makes things hard is my son can't walk. He is disabled and my daughter is normal.

I wish I could go oversea's. The next place I want to go is Europe but I was thinking about doing it on a cruise. Do you find it difficult to travel since you have 2 young children?

well i do have a list of places to go but don't really know if i will be able to go there in the future. i am in Asia but i do hope to go somewhere in US, Europe and Australia. Right now i have been to neighboring countries and it really is a nice culture we have. lots of beautiful crafts and places. But apparently your not the type who likes to seem mountains and peace and quiet so i think you have that on your "Not to go to place" list already.

I want to go Europe and Australia myself. I think traveling is nice because you can see other places and landmarks and different culture.

I usually go to vacation with my family. We don't really have a list of places to go to. Some years back, we used to go to this resort every summer but stopped because we have become busy. The vacation we get is when our aunt visits us. We stay on a hotel and go to different places. For her next visit, my mom has prepare a list of places for us to go, like try out new restaurants or malls.
As for a planned vacation, my family and I really want to go to Hong Kong. We just need to earn for our air fare and pocket money. I think it would be a long time before that happens but I'm pretty sure that day will come. I'm hoping to get a job sometime at the end of the year after taking a major exam. I hope that vacation would be next year.

Going overseas by plane is much more effective then other transport, the journey is shorter and the time is also shorten.

I like cruising too - and I loved when I went to Vegas. I dont gamble but I still had a great time! Im going on a cruise this year - the Mexican Riviera. We pick depending on what sounds fun, then on what is more affordable for what we get. The only time I didn't do that was my trip to Italy since I went with my high school...affordability was not part of the options, but I enjoyed it immensely.

We try to stay within our state that way we don't spend all our time traveling to our destination. We have some lovely state parks in our state with fully furnished cabins you can rent. They come equipped with kitchens and necessities all you have to bring are groceries. We are the opposite of you and are big on nature so we like places that has nature hikes which is fun and educational for our 9 year old son.
Anyway, my advice would be take a closer look at your home state! You might be surprised what you might find there. :)

I think the number one factor would be money because as we all know, traveling and living costs so we have to budget everything in order for us to enjoy the trip and the whole of the vacation. As for the location, if regardless of the cost, I'd definitely tour some cool spots in my country first then I'll try Europe. I want to go to ancient and holy lands and witness first hand all the great wonders of the world.
