Do you always engage a long conversation with your friends over the phone?

I can't do that. I guess that is just me. I don't like to engage in a long conversation, like over an hour of trivial chat over the cell phone. Maybe I was worry about my phone bills with limited minutes associated with it. Besides it, I just don't like it. I don't know how my girlfriend, and my mom have done it. They can engage in a conversation over an hour long over the phone. I just don't see why they have so much topics to talk about respectively. I would rather have 10 minutes phone chat, and more of time online, or do something else useful. What about you guys?

As far as I am concerned, I think I selodm engage a very long time with my friends over the phone. I can not bear that long time of speak on the cellphone. If I just talkk so much long on the phone, my ear will feel so uncomfortable to hear other's words. So in order to keep a ear health, I usually say the key points and then just hang up.

Same here. I hate long phone conversations. And it makes my ear feel uncomfortable. In fact if I could avoid phone talks at all, I'd never have to use a phone for calls. I prefer SMS. Or online chatting. Or even e-mail, as form of communication. Although I do remember myself in my younger days engaging in long conversations over the phone with my friends - I was probably only doing it because it was the in thing to do at that time. LoL. But now I hate it. Phone calls are meant for emergency, important or urgent matters, and that's it.

I don't know any guys that engage in long telephone conversations over the phone. Personally, I hate talking on the telephone. I always have. I don't understand people that have a cell phone stuck to their ear AT ALL TIMES. I can understand a quick phone call if you forgot what brand of toothpaste someone wanted but.. there is really no need to trapse around a Target for 20 minutes shooting the breeze about nothing in particular. I get really annoyed at people that talk super loud when they are on their phones like the other person can't hear them. My mom can chat with people on the phone for hours on end. I just don't get it.

I do engage in long conversations on the phone back then but noW since my phone got busted I never had one. We don't really have to look out for our bill because here in my country we have unlimited call and text for a day and longer than a month depending which one you choose. I think it could save a lot of money, especially for those who are fond of texting and calling.

No. I'd spend a few minutes chatting on the phone with friends, and we'd discuss when and where to meet later that day or that week, so we can chat for hours in person. That's the way to build a real relationship, ya know. :-D

Nope, I would rather talk to people about important things face to face, and unimportant conversations usually take about 3 minutes so I dont spend too much time talking to anyone on the phone.

Some people can talk for hours on the phone and some don't like to talk on the phone very long. But with people that have free long distance they can talk for hours with know charge. I can talk to my family for hours and my friends. One is because I like to and 2 is because I have free long distance.

Nope, if only its as easy as eating ice cream. Ha, I often confuse my mother with my borken speech and I can't do anything about it. I wonder why people stutter and fail to generate sentences. Women are just gifted to talk I guess.

Generally, I can't do that, except when calling my girlfriend or discussing some important problems with someone. A long conversation over the cell phone usually makes my hands uncomfortable, I would like to talk on line via microphone or video chatting.

you don't have to spend so many hours talking on the phone cause ur ears will heat up like a canyon.its better to talk to your friend personally but if you can't talk to that person because ure miles away then it would be advisable to talk over the phone but not the whole day right?you must take note that they also have a lot of things to do.not just heating up your ears like canyon...

Not really. We typically don't talk more than 15 minutes.

Me too. I don't usually engage on long phone conversations. That is the reason why I always use the e-mail because I find it easier. But sometimes, I tend to have once a month long conversations with some college friends because we no longer get the chance to meet in person and the phone is all we have. Before I call the person, I see to it that I am prepared for a long phone conversation like I have eaten, am currently in a comfortable area of the house, and so on.

No, I usually can stand 15-20 mins only on the phone. More than that, my ear will be very hot and it's difficult to understand what my friends talks cause I think that's my boiling point for concentration and focus while listening to somebody. I'd rather speaking to him/her with yahoo messenger or through blackberry messenger. It's easier to talk with it since it's written

I have done some long conversations... but not often.Just we talk for a long time when we want to wish for birthday at midnights or we talk about cricket match if we lose something like that...but we just talk some 10 minutes or less most of the time..But whenever we have a long time conversation we just have a great fun for sure and it will not be simple chat..It will be great one.

Hi parker, Yeah it happens always to me, Every evening my friend will call she'll ask some important stuffs and after that we didn't realize we're talking about something else and different topics LOL as if it was not intended. Talking to the phone really can lose track of time. Have a nice day.

It may depend on what is the topic of discussion between me and my friend. If it's something of an important and serious matter that involves my friend then the least I can do to reach out to my friend is to lend an ear to what she or he may have to tell me over the phone especially if distance seperates us and it is impossible for us both to see each other often.
