Yes, it is both a talent and all can learn it. It is a very complex skill that requires many hard work and dedication. To become a programmer you must have good grasp of the language in which as it is written as there are many different compilers all over the world. There are many commands that are required to make an excellent and there are vast thinking included as well. In addition to that you are require to practice a lot and study the compilation log after each compilation to understand the error and the requirement that is need to fix it.

Well the saying "Practice makes perfect" can also be applied to that. Computer programming is not really an easy task as you must be good in logic and imagination to be able to be good at it. Being creative will also be an advantage. Yes, anyone can learn programming, but most people stop on the basic ones. To be able to be good at it, you must keep on practicing and you must do programming often. Because if you stop doing it, the tendency is you will forget some codes and syntax of it. Another difficult thing in programming is the emerging of different programming languages. Let's say you know a specific programming language, but time will come that there will be a new programming language and the one you know will become obsolete. You must keep on updating yourself and you must know several programming languages especially those recent and mostly used ones to be able to be competitive in programming world. I myself have learnt several programming languages but due I cannot apply it on my work now, what happened is, due to not practicing it, my mind slowly forget it. Computer programming is definitely something you can learn. The only trick is that you have to be able to think like a programmer. In other words, you have to be decent at problem solving and logic otherwise learning how to program will be difficult. Just like any job, having certain attitudes and traits make it easier than others, but just about anyone can learn it with enough work and training. I'm actually going to college right now to be a computer programmer and we have people from all different backgrounds and stories. It's really quite interesting. :) It's hard work sometimes and it certainly isn't always easy, but it's worth it in the end, I think, if you really enjoy what you do.

Hi, I both of you mentioned above is right, computer programmer is talent and computer programmer can learn it. I think it depends on your qualification. computer programming is not easy way to be good programming, you must learn a logic and also another around you. computer programming not only learn programming language but also analyst, algorithm, etc .. even other subject that programmer must be understand. All it can be learned and if your are talent in programming can be easy to learn it. Regards.

It's something you learn from school or by yourself. It takes a lot of logic tho so you have to be good in logic to be a good programmer. I learned programming at school and some research on my own, while my fiance learned on his own, self-taught. He is even a lot better than me.

You can teach programming to yourself, but mastering it takes a while, so prepare... The best way to learn a programming language is reading an online tutorial, to get the basics. After that read code of masters, try coding a bit for yourself (start easy), read code, code yourself, read code, code yourself (etc.) There's a Zen poem about it: To follow the path, look to the master, follow the master, walk with the master, see trough the master, become the master.
