Yes, I have a nickname given to me by an aunt. When I was young, Milo chocolate drink could only be dissolved with hot water. If you put it in cold water, a large portion will float up which in my dialect was called tibugol. I loved this chocolate flotsam so much that I would dissolve several teaspoons of them in cold water and then eat what floats up. Thus, my family started calling me Tibugol.

My first nickname I got was bean. My best friend called me joleney beany when we were younger. Then she dropped most of it and just started to call me bean. In high school my next best friend started calling me Joey. It caught on. My sister calls me Joey or Jo too. My husband calls me sweetie. We started calling each other sweetie out of the blue when we were dating and still do.

I have tons of nicknames! In fact, my username is one of them. Most are derived from either my first or last name, or a combination of the two. It's funny, because my mother gave me a name she thought couldn't be abbreviated, because she didn't want me to go by a nickname, but instead, I ended up with a ton of nicknames!

My nickname now is the nickname of my original nickname. haha! Yeah! Its really complicated but its true. My original nickname was made due to the appearance of my eyes. When I was young, my eyes were really small and my parents called me that in our own term for it. When I was older, my eyes started to get bigger and bigger so it doesnt fit to me anymore to be called the term for small eyes. So I changed my name, still related to original nickname but its shorter. I liked it better than the first one and I was famous for it because I was the only one in our community to have that kind of nickname.
