How about a cool 10 GRAND? : http://www.adn.com/2010/03/17/1187024/minneapolis-photo-op-with-bachmann.html When Sarah Palin travels to Minnesota to help her near-clone Michele Bachmann campaign in April you can attend the rally for free and the fundraiser for $500 but a picture with the wacky duo will cost you $10,000! Is there anyone here who would pay that kind of money for a photo? How about, is there anyone who would give a single penny to Michele Bachmann's reelection campaign? Now, her opponents' campaigns, that's a different story...lol! Annie

Actually, you can sometimes get one for FREE if a bar that has a dart league is getting new ones. At least that place where I used to shoot darts and my husband still does often gives them away. Annie

Ok, let me rephrase that to "How much would a dartboard with their faces on it be worth?"

They would have to pay ME $10,000 to take a picture with them. In fact, they would have to pay me more to attend the fundraiser!

Oh wait...I'd have to be in the picture with them? Well that blows my dartboard idea!

While I am a fan of both of them I would not pay $10,000 for a photo with them. If I did it would because I was supporting the cause and not just to get the photo. Over the years both parties have had dinners (worth about $50.00) and sold tickets for up to $100,000 each. Supporters on both sides are willing pay for the privilege of being there. Now the question Annie is - How much would you pay for a picture with the Obamas?

How much would I pay for a picture with the Obamas? Maybe a buck or two, that's about it. I realize supporters from both parties pay lots of money for rubber chicken dinners and stuff like that, it's just not something I'M willing to do. Annie

And how many campaign fundraisers has President Obama done since he has been elected to office? So what? Truth, I don't give money to politicians period. No law against raising money. I care more about what they say, rather than how much they charge for a picture. But you feel free to contribute your hard earned money to a politician's coffers, Annie.

Let's see, by the time I earn enough here Bachmann and Palin will be about 1000 years old and hopefully retired from politics... By the way, I know there's no law against politicians raising money and to be honest I'd rather have them raise it from private citizens for photos and dinners than from mega-corporations giving millions. However, I must say these things that cost in the thousands kind of leaves out the average American struggling in a tough economy. Let's just say if someone can afford to pay $10,000 for a photo - or any large sum of money like that to any politician from either party - isn't likely to be worried about their home being in foreclosure, paying for health care or whether they're going to get an extension in their unemployment! most replies are saying either hell no! or yay! at the idea of a photo with palin. however rabbits are crafty and i might consider it (although certainly not for $10,000) after finding out the following: how much could i sell the photo for? would i be allowed to make rabbit ears behind palin's head? can i look like i am crying in the photo? can i give bachman a crying baby to hold?

I find it amusing how you only post threads like this about Palin as if it's only her and Bachmann doing this. You never mentioned Obama's $2,000 a plate dinner when he was running for president and you're not focusing on any other politicians who are doing the exact same thing. I seriously doubt anyone posting here on mylot would spend 10,000 on a picture with ANY politician. I think it would be cool to get a picture with Palin, but I don't have that kind of money to spend. I'm also not jumping at the opportunity to give money to Bachmann's campaign. I have yet to ever give ANY money to a political campaign. No politician has impressed me that much.

Maybe it's because I get more amusement from posting about Palin and Bachmann than about Obama and other politicians...lol! Lighten up, Taskr. I certainly know all politicians have fundraisers and charge huge sums for dinners and other events. There are enough others here who are keeping a watch over every move President Obama and every other Democrat makes, which is fine, you all have that right. If I want to have a little fun and ask a lighthearted question about someone else, that's my prerogative as well, isn't it? By the way, I don't have the money to spend for any campaign either and I'd never personally pay thousands or even hundreds to have my picture taken with ANYONE! If someone else wants to, hey, it's their money! Annie

Thank Heaven I'm Canadian and will never have to worry about Sara Palin. I have a picture of the both Past President Bushes, fishing in a flooded street in New Orleans. George W was proudly holding up a fresh caught fish, while people were wading, waist deep, by the boat. Sara won't be much better! God Bless (Help) America!

You said it all when you said "fundraiser" Everyone does it. They host dinners or sell books and I guess if you have someone as popular as Sarah Palin, you sell the opportunity to get a picture taken with her. I don't know what it is that bothers you most about this. Probably the fact that there are people who will pay that $10,000. No matter what the lib bloggers say or do to try to destroy her image, people still like her. In addition, there are a lot of people who neither love nor hate her. Some of us just think it's funny to watch the left get their bloomers in a twist every time someone mentions her name. Since you're so convinced that both these ladies are "wacky", I don't know why you take so much note of everything they say and do.

Gee, it seems to me that some of YOU are the ones who are so "bothered" whenever I post something about poor Sarah! I don't have "my bloomers in a twist", I just thought this would be a fun thing to discuss. I really don't care how others spend their money, if someone wants to throw $10,000 on a picture that's their right and their money! I know "everyone does it" but I personally would like to see all that money taken out of politics. Anyway, I'm glad to give you something to have fun with! Annie

bit on the serious side, at least matersfish is trying to have fun but i have to say that politicians are in the public eye, they have power, and making fun of them is your responsibility as a citizen. handily you have divided them up so some of you can make fun of obama and crew and some palin and crew.

I'm sorry I wouldn't even pay that (if I had it) to take a picture with someone I liked. I have much better things to do with that much money.

They'd have to pay me to have me pose with them. I think Palin is an idiot jerk who like to hunt and do a lot of things I am totally apposed to.

I think that I once upon a time when I was still young and stupid paid 5 quid for a picture of me and a wax statue of Arnold Schwazernegger at Madame Tussaud. I don't think I'd paid more for a live Sarah Palin, and I've never heard about the other person so maybe 5 cents. But to charity, not to their campaigns :-)
