guitar players, do you agree that tommy emmanuel is the greatest guitar player who is alive right now? if you don't know him, check youtube and come back here, but if still you won't find him there or anywhere in the net, then don't comment prehistoric!

This guy is just from another planet. He's not the best in my opinion but he's definitely in the high league. His playing is just..it's not guitar playing anymore, these techniques of him made the music not so important as the exact way that he's playing. However he's shaped the style of many modern guitarist and this fact is enough to consider him as a guitar master already. And he's only in the middle of his journey. Time will show what surprises he will bring to us.

I got to see Tommy Emmanuel in concert a couple of weeks ago and wow -- it was great! That guy is amazing! You can listen to his CD's and watch him on YouTube all you want, but seeing him live is on a whole new level -- WOW!! It was also great because I got to see him on his "Electric and Acoustic Tour" so he played both acoustic AND ELECTRIC guitar! It was very cool! Also his brother, Phil, was a part of the concert too! It was so cool to see both of them play together, and Phil even had a part of the show where it was just Phil and the band. Phil is a very extraordinary guitar player too! :) The Emmanuel brothers are truly amazing!!!!!
