Manny Paquiao is one of the best fighters out there right now
and i know that could be a little intimidating. But the way Clottey fought was just embarrasing for him and a waste of money for me.
I know that you have to protect yourself but Clottey didnt put his arms down the whole fight. He probrably still has them up right now.
I dont know if he just happened to fight that way or that was the gameplan all along, but if it was i think that it was a stupid gameplan.
I think Clottey just went out there to just fight Paquiao not to try to beat him
Please let me know what ya think about that all opinions are welcome even Clottey fans

i've seen the fight and clottey was not really engaging... a far cry from his statement that he was chasing cotto all night in his last fight. i believe pac's punches was too much for clottey. all pacquiao can do is to injure the arms that defended clottey. a little flaw in the defense and then clottey would be nothing but sacrificial lamb

That was a long disappointing game. I'm still happy that Pacquiao wins and he really deserves that. The number of punches he thrown is ridiculous, 1231 against 399 by Clottey. I first thought that Clottey is trying to tire Manny but I was wrong, he was just afraid of him. I'm glad that we didn't spend money to watch that fight.

i couldnt agree more. it was such a bore. never in my life did i watch a pacquiao game and leave in the middle of watching.. i was really dissappointed. i think clottey was just up for the money and prestige maybe of not being knocked down by pacquiao. from the very start, all he did was to put up his defense and obviously it was so that he can prevent getting knocked down. he may have figured early on that he can never beat manny so might as well just protect himself from further humiliation so he tried hard not to get knocked down. it seemed that pacquiao was very dissapointed because you can see in his fight that he really tried to shower clottey with punches so the game would be a tad bit interesting but clottey didnt seem to care. i really feel for those who paid a high amount of money for their tickets for that pathetic fight..lol

To be honest, I don't watch the whole fight, but I saw bits and pieces. Clottey was avoiding Pacman - he has no intention of hitting back only defending himself.
I think he was after the money he is going to gain from the fight no more no less.

the fight was really boring, maybe because when manny is in the ring we are expecting a very explosive fight.I know clottey is a defensive boxer but the way he faught manny it looks like he's just waiting for a great timing in order for him to have a lucky punch for manny but the pcman is just too much for him.....my conclusion,,,,clottey did not went there to fight but for money....

It was been a boring fight since most of what Clottey did was defense. I think it was really his gameplan, his mission is just to reach round 12 and lose by decision so at least he will not be knockout by Manny Pacquiao. It is a very one sided game. It was not been entertaining, Pacquaio shouldn't fight someone like Clottey anymore whose only on the mind is defense. But congratualtions for Manny Pacquiao, he really dominated the fight. I hope Gayweather will be brave enough to fight Manny. But he should beat Mosley first. Have a nice day! Happy myLotting!

That was the most boring fight of Pacquiao to date. I guess what clottey wants is to prove to the world that he is strong because he has not hit the canvass. As you said, he could probably still has his arms up right now . So far he succeeded. If he managed to maintain his arms up during the entire fight he also managed to give the impression that he is not a worthy fighter for Pacquiao, just like what every one thought. It's just a pity, because if clottey just gave the fans a real fight, it won't really matter is he lost because he will still gain their respect. I don't think either that that was their game plan because i can hear his ring man telling him to fight because they're losing every round and yet clottey just kept on hiding behind his gloves.

I think that fight was more of a joke. There was no fight at all. How can you call a match a fight if only one is doing the punching? Pacquiao's opponent did not put up a fight. All he did was take all the punches while covering his face. Win or lose, we know that these fighters are getting paid. Anyone can do what Clottey did and go home with the money. It's about time that people start looking for other sources of happiness.

I agree with what you just said. Clottey is only defending himself. He probably can't fight back since Pacquiao is really strong. Pacquiao is really amazing.

I think Clottey's strategy was covering up and counter punching, and tried to make pacquiao get tired by doing that. But somewhere in the first half i think his defence was broken, the damage was done, i bet he was hurting all over his arms. he staggered even pacquiao hit his double cover in the later round.
And that's is pacquiao going to do to mayweather who is famous for his defence. He is going to break that famous left shoulder of his.
But if mayweather-mosley have sequels to their fight, i afraid manny-floyd still long way to go.
