I have a 6-year old cousin who's been close to me since we live together in the same roof. I watched her grow from being infant up to now as an inquisitive kid. Her learnings and all the change in her physical looks, attitudes and behaviors amaze me. It pleases me to see her good qualities but lately, she is showing some negative traits too. She's hard to deal with sometimes as her mood swings make her so sensitive and irritable. She is stubborn in a way that she does not follow our commands. At times I want to punish my cousin for being so obstinate, it seems my loving heart holds my hand from hitting her.

Hi Miss... This is a common problem among the kids of this age, there is nothing to worry about. There is no need to punish her, because that is going to worsen the matters. Try gifts! I am sure you know her likes. Let her know, through actions, that if she behaves properly, she'll get gifts that she likes. These days kids grow up fast and learn fast, so it becomes somewhat tough for the elder ones to handle the situation... Good luck!

Hi Mr_Pearl, I've tried your suggestion & it really worked ha ha! But the problem is, she always anticipate for gifts everytime I arrive from work & does not talk to me if I don't have anything on hand he he...Well, at least she's behaving a bit better now.
