I have been earning from the internet for some time now.I am not earning a huge amount.Sometimes I think I am wasting my time earning on the internet rather than putting the same time on studies and hoping to get a better job.
How much do you think is the acceptable rate of earning below which it would be considered a waste of time.

Hi,when i met my husband who is finishing his phd he always tried to let me understand how important studies is and how each hour is precious. He learnt it from his own experience as he was completing his master degree while working parttime.. he didnt get very good result first, but managed to get a fairly good degree through his Very hard work for the next exam
He got a 2:1 at the end of the day but would be able to get a 1:1 if not his parttime work... When it came to his Phd he could have it all paid for if he would have that 1:1 so you can imagine how regretful he was.. but couldnt change it

It depends on how serious you are. Are you looking to make a few extra dollars? Are you looking for enough to pay your internet connection? Or are you in it for the long haul like myself ( I have been earning online 10 plus yrs )
If you are still doing your studies...I would suggest furthering your education.
I always stress the importance of education to my children. You could always dabble in the world of online earnings...or just invest a small amount of time each day or week to building an online income.

I totally agree, that education over all! I'm just going to spend some of my pass time on the internet, but mainly study so that I can become a diploma-engineer (they get well paid). I am going to build an enough big/trustful online income, so that I'll regularly get the money, to go to cinemas and other stuff (the main problem is the high cost of the bus). It's always nice to know, that; "Aah... I have got 10 extra dollars this month. Now I can buy that magazine too, because I will still have 3 dollars" :D
Happy myLotting :D

beh in reality if you consider earnings and hours you can spend here on mylot for example is true that you don't earn so much!!Normally internet can be a resource but not a real job...online earning is difficult as all other ways to earn some money n reality!!!

I think you're right. Earning online should not be your main focus. Online income should be secondary income, unless you have goals and plans to make your income more substantial. To do that you will have to dedicate the same amount of time that you would to a full time job.

yes online earning is hard and they don't get you a huge amount of payments monthly. But at least they pays. I think if I earn $20 a day would be ok with me.

I've tried almost every possible ways to earn online before since I'm unemployed. I thought it is possible to earn as much as what I'm earning on my regular job and I thought it would be great since I will just stay home. Some people are lucky to have online jobs that pays well but unfortunately most people will just earn a few dollars or cents every day. I've decided then to have a regular job and just make working online as a hobby.

Hello avigar,
Depends on what is the value you derive from the site, if it just about dollars and cents, then you might want to include how much do you think you are worth per hour plus the electricity and internet cost.
However there are since thing you are not able to calculate like friendship and learning new things. Something I think money cannot buy.

I know what you mean, and I feel the same way. I think if I could find a job that pays me around two US dollars per hour, I would consider that to be fine with me. So if I worked for 8 hours a day, that's 16 dollars, enough to cover my daily expenses at home. Although it's a very small amount, I think it's still worth it, considering that most online jobs are not that difficult to do. And you can take a break anytime you want. You only work whenever you want to.

There is never an easy job in earning online money. This is the same goes in offline. But the difference between online and a job is this.. Online you only spend at home or wherever you are comfortable with rather than in a Job you are to adjust to the environment and your fellow coworkers. Online is much faster to apply but has more scams rather than an regular jobs. You don't have daily expense working online, you only pay the internet service while in a Job you have daily consumables like of fares, lunch and etc.
If I would to rate the earning online that would be 3$ a day. That would be a nice. I can already work for that for the whole month.

In my opinion it is not a waste of time to earn some extra money online. It always helps. But you have to try to determine how much free time you have so as not to suffer from another area, such as your studies. I think earning about $2 a day is great as I do on most days instead of playing games or watching tv.

See if you are for a short time then you are right.. but if you want to be here for long duration I think internet has so much oppurtunities that after some time you will find this a regular source of income even if you dont give it that much of time at that stage.
