I think my superior always scold me on purpose in front of other people. But when she just talk with me in private, she will praise my work and say nice things to me. And sometimes she will grab my work as achievement of herself. Do you share the same experience?

I agree that this is totally unprofessional and she is taking credit for your work. You need to get this information to the supervisor over her. Perhaps you have a coworker that might be willing to casually or anonymously mention it to her boss. At any rate, you may never be promoted with this type of a supervisor. She has too much to gain by keeping you under her finger. By scolding you in public, she makes you look as if you are incompetent, that way no one will believe that she is taking credit for your work. I would highly recommend looking for a new job when you are in a position to do so. Best of Luck.

Thanks!I think what you analyzed is the truth. Luckily, I will go to UK for my master degree in this Autumn, when I came back, she will not be my supervisor.

I don't. Well for me, what I can say is that we cannot please everyone. Just be cool and trust God. Everything will pay off soon.

I don't and I'm thankful for that. We have to face the reality that some bosses can really act that way. Have you tried discussing the matter to him/her if he's open about it? Or discussing your issue with other appropriate colleagues like HR or his boss perhaps? In any case, as demotivating as it is, I hope this does not demotivate you. Do it for yourself. It's a good feeling to achieve something despite all the hurdles - and that includes your boss. :)

I have had some lousy bosses and colleagues. You have to be patient, as unfortunately you need the job. What i did was to try to find another job and after some time i succeeded. However even there i found bad colleagues. So, it is practiaclly impossible to manage to find a workplace with no problems unfortunately.

Scolding you in front of your co-workers is very unprofessional. Unfortunatley, some bosses are like this. Hang in there. I hope things get better!
