which year is your best year?

hi mylotters.
everybody has good souvenirs which they happened in an appropriate year.
for me, the year of 2003 was my best years ever. i got my high school diploma and baught my first car, also my brother got married in that year and my sister got her first baby.
what about you?

hello floridia.
2005 would be my best. it was around 7 pm, local time. there was an earthquake off the waters of blitar, east java, indonesia. the tremors were felt way up the highlands of malang, east java, where we lived, probably a hundred kilometres away. i was thrown off the chair i was sitting on about half a metre away. i got up and ran out of the house to meet lots of other people. my second encounter with an earthquake. it feels good to be given a second chance.

I guess I would count the year 2000 as my best year. I just started at a new university, and I really liked my classes. I also ended up winning a trip to the 2000 Olympics in Sydney, Australia. The trip included four days in New Zealand after the Olympics. I got to take my sister with me, and it was incredible. I had been in a bad accident the year prior, and the insurance reached a settlement. So I had enough money to get some really cool souvenirs without going bankrupt. lol

More than I knew at the time. A year after my return, I became very sick. And then the injuries I had from the car accident got more severe in pain. I am on disability now, and I do not believe I will ever have a chance to go somewhere like I did back in 2000. So I am very grateful to God for giving me that opportunity.

Best year, maybe 1978-79, when I spent a year in Germany. Worst year, 2004...
