Have seen National chief selector Srikant wearing Chennai Super Kings jersey. Is it appropriate for him taking any sides when IPl can also be the criteria for selection in Indian team as we saw in case of Ravinder Jadeja. Ya he was also ambassador for CSK even before he was the selector.. but he should quit now. The post he is on doesn't allow him to take sides.

Yes I totally agree with you the last thing that we need is a chairman of the selection committee who is biased..but that's Indian Cricket administration for you my friend..previously we heard allegations that certain players are taken due to backing of particular members of the selection committee or the BCCI now we can see that all those allegations are true to a certain extent..Why only Srikkant the members of BCCI themselves support teams belonging to different franchisees..like Srinivasan supporting the Chennai Super Kings and Bindra the Mohali team..this creates an element of doubt in the minds of the general public about the impartiality of these individuals and the best way to remove this doubt is by quitting either of the two posts that they are holding right now.

I do not see any issues in that. Anyhow we have a zonal selection panel, so that means the selectors anyhow favor a specific zone. So in that sense this is nothing new to Indian cricket. Also, having seen the teams being selected off late, there does not seem to be too much of a CSK brand around in the selections. It seems to be based on the merit of domestic performances more or less.
Cheers!
