How do you make GIFs out of videos?? I know how to make a gif but I only know how to make it using photos. I've tried searching various tutorials but I can't find one, can somebody teach me how?

There's a way to do it online with video, it's at http://www.gifninja.com/
It's an online .gif maker tool, its name doesn't really suggest that it can be used to convert videos into .gifs though. The best parts? It's online AND free!
Then there's the .gif splitter tool also available on the site.
As for the conversion tool, the videos have to be about 4 seconds long, I think that should be enough for your needs. Not many people want 1 hour long .gif files, well at least I think so.

Since you seem like you want a better way, here's a more complicated method

skip method 1 as nobody can actually do it, method 2 *may* be slightly tricky but as long as you follow it on each step you'll be on your way to making 15 second gif's

I am wondering about this too. The only method I know of is ancient. I try to screencap every relevant frame and turn them into GIFs. It's tiring but the results can be quite fine.
