I wanted to say those lines today to a stranger who was trying on some shoes. LOL. I went shoe shopping today in a department store, I went around and I ended up not buying anything at all, though it gave me an idea for a discussion. hahahaha. The story is, I saw some lady, trying on some hideous shoes and she was deciding whether to buy it or not, I wanted to approach her and tell her that the shoes were hideous and it's going to be a waste of money. But of course I didn't cause I don't have the guts to do it, plus she may get angry at me cause it's really none of my business. Have you ever had this urge when you're shopping? Like you want to approach somebody who is trying some clothes or shoes on, and you just want to tell them that it looks hideous on them?

Well all the time really. We have quite a few youths who walk about with their trousers hanging off their hips and sometimes rather rotund females with crop top type shirts that look awful. However it is as you say not my business and I just shrug and think, wait till you see a photograph of yourself in 10 years time, you will wonder whatever you were thinking !

Hahahahah! That's a good way of thinking. Let them realize their mistake in 10 years time. LOL.

Probably not a good idea to say something like that to a stranger even if you were doing it to help as they might take it as an insult to their taste or something even if you didn't mean it in that way. It seems like most people don't like anything critical said to them even if you try to do it in a constructive manner and you don't know what kind of day this person has had and they might be ready to blow up at any moment and picking that moment to mess with them about their shoe purchase even if it was a bad choice might not be such a good idea. It is probably best to mind our own business and even though you are trying to be nice just let them make their own mistakes, because later on they will probably realize that the shoes are hideous and decide not to get them or to sell them or something like that as most people don't like to be told what to do or what to buy and things like that everyone likes the freedom to make our own choices even if that choice is to buy some ugly shoes.

Good point, I never really thought about it that way. Maybe you are right, maybe she was having a bad day, and trying on shoes, no matter how hideous they maybe would lift up her spirits. I would remember that next time I go shopping. though I think I would never really tell a stranger that, cause I know I should really mind my own business and I don't want to offend anyone, specially in a public place. Actually I was thinking before that maybe someone out there was thinking the same thing about me while I was trying on some shoes. LOL.

Yeah, It's really none of our business, but I just can't help but think what if I tell her. Hehehehe. I'm pretty sure she'll get offended if I do tell her that what she's trying on is just really hideous.

LOL... When you feel some clothes or shoes are hideous, the buyer may feel them very beautiful. I never want to tell them that the shoes or clothes whicn they choose are hideous, even though I think so.

Yeah, that's what I though, maybe in her eyes it was really beautiful. I am just going to believe that indeed beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
