When I get nervouse I bit my nails alot. I hate biting my nails because it wears them down so much. Somtimes I just can't help it. I don't mean to bit my nails but it just happens by habbit. It's a embarassing habbit because my nails are a not long and look all jagged from me bitting them. I am tring to take vitiams to help them grow and repair them selves. I really want pretty heathy nails but if I keep thus up I won't have any nails left. Which really stinks. The vitiams I have been taking are making my nails stronger. They are also giving me more energy which is a good plus. I am thinking about buying some no bite for my nails. I heard that it's suppose to work good and keep you from wanting go bite your nails.

When I'm nervous, I keep walking to and fro, my nose is perspiring, and my heart is palpitating so fast. I can't breathe and my voice and legs are shaking. I hate the feeling and I want to overcome it. Maybe, I lack self-confidence.

I used to bite my nails regularly... particularly when I'm nervous. I've started painting them bright colors, and it keeps an accountability where others can see the lengths of my nails. Whether they care or not, I know they can see my nails. They aren't hidden. I've noticed that this has helped me quite a bit. I still fidgit when I'm nervous, but I no longer bite my nails. And they're pretty which is more reason for me not to bite them. I've also noticed that I bite them less when they are painted because biting nail polish isn't worth it... even when nervous. hehe I hope this helps!!

Hi, friend. Perhaps you can try decorating your nails. The chemical material used is said to be poisonous. I'm sure it will stop you immediately from biting your nails. When I'm too nervous, I don't bite my nails, but my heart will keep beating at an amazing speed as if it will get out of my body at any time. At such times, I try to relax by taking deep breath and it really works. Maybe you can try this too.

I don't bite my nails often nerves or no nerves. My nails are suprising healthy-looking despite the fact I have bitten them. Probably because I only bite them when they get super long and anoying. I really can't use nail clippers. Its a nasty habbit I know, but at least I'm not too bad.

I practice martial arts since I was little, and my sensei thought me to be patient, and I'm usually a patient person to situations others wouldn't, but sometimes in extreme situations I cannot control my nervousness, and when I'm nervous my heart goes crazy and I have an adrenaline rush just like I get in competition matches, and when that happens I become fast, bold and sharp reflexes, it's like Pavlov dog, he rings the bell every time he feeds the dog and then when he rings the bell alone the dog salivates from reflex, that's what happens to me when I'm nervous, it triggers combat reflexes I get in matches.

hi! well, when I am really nervous/angry I don't bite my nails, i just run red and the blood come into my brain and makes me do bad things like hitting and kcking all around and I can't really control myself when I m really nervous/angry. I don't like when it happens to me, because this is maybe my biggest weakness, which I have tried to grind down, but without any success! hope someday I will be able to do it and will become a calmer person!

Usually when I am nervous, I always make it a point to calm down as much as possible. But normally there should always be a part of you which is unconsciously doing an act without you noticing it. For me, my feet shivers hard that I cannot control it. What I do, especially during interviews, is to bind my feet on the feet of the chair where I am sitting. At least, the chair keeps my feet relaxed and controls my body all over as stiff as it could become.

I used to bite my nails also when I used to get nervous and used to bite it so much that my fingers used to bleed. My habit of biting nails has now become a thing of the past thanks to my hubby whenever I used to bite my nails he used to give his foot and used to say bite this also slowly I started checking myself and now I do not bite my nails at all and they have really grown and my fingers look beautiful.
