which doctor or medical procedure scares you the most?

which doctor or medical procedure are you the most fearful of? mine is the dentist.. i had braces and that was torture but the cleaning is what i hate! that scraping and if there is drilling the vibrations hurt! (i have fibromyalgia so some things im extra sensitive to and vibration is one of them) the worst is that the dentist usually lectures me and doesnt believe me when i tell him that medications caused some of the damage.. before meds my gums and teeth were perfect but then years of being a guinea pig to a lot of doctors really took a toll.. so yeah i hate everything about the dentist!!
medical procedure i would have to say either a spinal tap or a Colonoscopy! i have had the latter (colon cancer runs rampid in my family) but never had a spinal tap or epidural. the thought just makes me freak! i had a chance to try injections into my spine at my neck for pain but i was too scared =(
so what are you afraid of? has it kept you from going to the doctor because of it or put off exams you need because of your fear? is there a reason like you had a bad experience or something that is causing your fear? i know having the Colonoscopy with out being put under didnt help my fear!!! lol

Hello i hate endoscopy and colonoscopy, i have never undergone these but i have seen my wife having them, looks painful and scary, but when it is a must to be done, we have to undergo..

ive had both and the colonscopy is soooo much worse! they didnt put me to sleep for it! the endoscopy was not bad till stupid me drank a coke too soon after it and it burned my raw throat but till then i hadnt had any problems..

Well its always the injections worry me much. I had bad experiencing once my nurse pricked me and i got shaked and bleeding on my arms, so painful. I never prefer injections after that,

my mom would is in her late 60s now had blood drawn when she was a teen with those huge needles and she moved her arm and it bent in her arm! it has her hating needles so much now!

Hi, moonlitmagikchild. For me it would be, any kind of surgery. I have never had to have this procedure done. But, if I did, I would be very afraid. I would be scared because if they cut me open and something goes terribly wrong, then I may suffer from the process. I also don't like when the dentist will have to clean my teeth and they use the tool that gets tartar out of the teeth. Sometimes that tool gets right near my gum and I am thinking that it will touch my gum.

im scared of surgery too.. the closest i have had was wisdom teeth removal but i dont like being put under and knowing im being sliced open

hello moonlit,
I also had fear with dentists,for whatever reason is i don't know.
I had two molar teeth extracted and,so far it's not too painful,but still i am always scared thinking about having dental check-ups.
Even normal cleaning gives me some shivers...funny but it's true.

i used to have that prob for years when i would go to the doc for so many different things and every doc wanted their own blood sample but i havent had anyone ask for awhile.. its almost bizarre for me lol

Got injection of course! LOL. I'm afraid to all kinds of needles. I will be very nervous before the doctor gives me injection, even my body will be shaky. I got injection for many times but I'll be the same every time doctor ready to inject me.

Hi moonlitmagkchild, Yes I agree when my dentist put my braces it really hurts as in major pain, But the one I'm scared of is pimple treatment by my dermatologist, it really hurts.
