In my discussions received this morning was a reference to Edgar Allen Poe, a name I was familiar with but one that just doesn't come up in ordinary conversations.
No sooner had I quit working on mylot and gone in for coffee and a favorette TV show when Edgar Allen Poe's name and works apear on the Antique Road Show. It does make you stop and wonder about how information gets around? I know I will now be
waiting for more Poe

Hi, Pat!
Isn't it weird the way that happens so often?
I was preparing lesson plans for teaching the legends of King Arthur when I received a package in the mail. It contained a book written by a friend of mine, and it's a wonderful version of the story!!!

I will have to see if he shows up around here as well. I used to love his works, when I was a teen. I had a habit of taking anything my older sister suggested and running with it, just to see if I could outshine her in anyway. She read me a story by Poe, possibly when I was eleven or twelve, and then I had a teacher tie him in as part of a lesson on brick laying (masonry, The Cask of Amontillado). I would have various intellectual "affectations" so I began reading every Poe collection I could find, for a long time. I bet we will see a trend there, just because you have noticed it happening. I cannot remember specifics of any instance like what you have described, but I do know that I have seen that many times, the pattern that just shows up, or as someone else said, "synchronicity" . Good discussion.

That is odd. I'm a big Edgar Allen Poe fan...he's buried not too far from where I was born in Maryland. Did you know that this year was the first time in over 60 years that Poe's mystery visitor failed to leave three roses and a half-bottle of cognac at Poe's grave on his birthday?

That kind of this happens a lot if you are aware. My husband often mentions incidents like that and he says it is the perfect synchronicity of the Universe at work. I tend to agree with him. Have you ever wondered why things like this happen or why we seem to run into the same people on a regular basis? There is a reason for everything and I guess it is your time to either learn more about Edgar Allen Poe or it is time to catch up on his work...Who knows...

Poe used to be one of my favorite poets/storytellers. I could still be content for weeks with a copy of his works. What an imagination but what a tortured soul. I always felt compassion for him, he was a great and talented artist.

Some time ago I was very sad, I was thinking about the future and about the dreams that I had. I was very pessimitic and I kept on thinking that my dreams wouldn't come true and that they were totally unrealistic. While I was thinking about those things I was watching a music channel on tv and all of a sudden a song by Gabriele appeared and lyrics of the songs were: "Dreams can come true. Look at me babe I'm with you. You know you gotta have hope. You know you've got to be strong." A pretty strange coincidence as it wasn't a popular song on that music channel, and I have never watched that video again (or before).
