My sister in law (eventually) has had a crash & claims no injury................

Last night my sister in law (Well she will be if my brother ever gets around to asking) was hit from behind by a 9 month pregnant female. She had just stopped at a red light when bang, sending her across the junction, would could of ended nastily. She attended A&E received medical attention and is complaining of injuries consistant with whiplash. She hasn't reported it to the Police saying she is not injured & states it's ok as the other party is insured! I have repeatedly told her she obviously has got whiplash & does need to report it. Have you ever had an accident and just shrugged off an injury?? Would you report it & make a claim for the injury however minor?? Or have you been the one doing the hitting & worried what will happen when the other party makes a claim?? Your thoughts? MrsL x x
