Do you think that school is important nowadays?

I think that school is very important because it is a very good foundation of having a good job and career. Unfortunately, not all graduate because of financial problems.They are forced to look another job before graduating. For me, I'm having a hard time going back to school even if i have a job now. My heart has lose it on schooling

Yes it's important and now more than ever. The world is moving so fast now that anyone without an education will be left behind. You will notice I say education, by tht I don't necessarily mean school. Many of our most creative people have little formal schooling but great educations.

Somewhat yes to me. This is my opinion, nowadays 30% of things I learn in school doesn't make sense at all. Nowadays we can learn anything we want by ourself. The Internet is large, you can find almost anything in the Wikipedia. If no Internet, we can go to library or even go to Internet cafe to rent Internet. So actually we (at least me and my friend who said this too) are pursuing title. Though I still learn a lot from school (Especially Mathematics and Physics) but some of the subject doesn't make sense to me. P.S: I have learned A LOT of things via Internet since I have Internet Access at home in 2007.

it s important nowadays. just like you said, we need to have a title to give us better life. what s sad is most of the schools here in the philippines require high tuition fees. i study at a well-known school here and until now i haven t graduated yet cuz of my fees. although there are well-known public schools here that provides low tuition fees but their entrance exams are too difficult for an average student to pass. so yeah, to sum it up, you need money to earn money.

I think study so important this day, you can not a decent job if you are not well educated. The competition so hard you can win only if you had higher education and working experience.

I believe that school is very important. However, at least here in the US, I believe that they charge way too much for people to go to college. All of my high school friends have student loans that are going to take years to pay off. So because of the cost, not as many people are going to college. It's pretty sad. In order to make money you have to spend money. The worst part is with our economy, they are cutting down on financial aid and taking away most of the grants.

Schools are very very important, especially nowadays. If in todays world, if anybody wants a job, they should show their qualifications and not only this, their english needs to be really good. And for having number of qualifications and good accent, people need to study higher. Without studying, people cannot even think of getting a small job. So, people should understand this that study and schools are really very important and go for studying whatever their age is. Happy mylotting!

AS far as i am concerned, I think it si so important to have a school nowadays. I think if there is no school at all, I think people will get no knowledge, which will make people more silly. As we want to be more intelligent, I think we'd better to have more study.

Of course. You have to be knowledgeable if you want to survive in this world. If you want to be able to get a job you need a degree or to be a bachelor as a title. Not all people have the opportunity who can go to school and get educated. I pity them. I'm glad I got in school even if I nag about it how many times I hate going to school. ;)

yes, absolutely!!! the world we live in now is very different from those of our parents'. going to school, studying, are very important to have good grades and good jobs. besides, making friends in schools help us to socialise, to share ideas and to see things from many different angles. i'm sure schools do have alot of fun-filled activities as well.

It is important indeed. Here in the US, You need to have some sort of degree (title) to have an good job and good standard of living. Otherwise you would be making less than $400 dollars a week at a fast food restaurant or something similar to that. I think it's no different than the rest of the world. It centainly takes time to become something in life, but it definitely pays off at the end.

Education is beneficial to our development.And the school just is a place for us to receive somethings we need in the circle of koowledge.Additionally.we can learn some principles on how to be a useful man.However,not everyone is able to get somewhere after graduating from school.In my mind,we should work hard for our goal,instead of satisfying the success we own in the school.

Absolutely. But school is not just about getting a job. It is about being exposed to different ideas and gaining different skills. It is about growing as a person. There are other ways to grow, of course, but the value of a formal education is not something to dismiss lightly.

I think that the more education you have, the more options you have. If you don't get a good education you will be stuck in a non-skilled job with limited income and spend your life merely getting by and your children are pretty much stuck with the same life unless they are very resourceful.

School is very important especially in our country (Philippines). Though there are jobs that allow high school graduates or college undergraduates, most jobs here in our country require college diplomas. Unfortunately, we are a poor nation and most of the poor citizens can't even graduate elementary school. It really is important to have a job. However, finishing school doesn't really guarantee work sometimes.

Well, I think school is important in the fact that having the proper degrees will get your foot in the door. That is what impresses perspective employees, having a degree in a certain field. That shows that you may be knowledgeable enough to give you a look. Therefore, school is pretty essential to allow you to get your foot right in the door and allow you to get a job a bit more easily than someone who does not have anything. Of course, it is up for debate if what is learned in school could be used to keep you in there once you get the foot in the door. There are times where a lot of what I learned is useless. Granted, a lot of it is of use, but much of it, I doubt I will use it in my life. Still, anything that I learn, regardless of any chance that it might be used, will be great. So school is important in many ways but it certainly does not seem important in many other ways.

Hi Codris, Good day! I think that a good education is important to get a good career. Most of the companies nowadays would want to get an employee with good educational background. There are even some companies (top corporations) who also takes into consideration the school where the applicant graduated. Having a good education background is a foundation to have a good career and future. However, it does not end there. We still need to have perseverance, dedication, the will and passion to always give our best in accomplishing our tasks/ jobs. It does not mean however, that people who did not get good education compared to others no longer has the chance to have a good career. It's just that they tend to get it harder. However, if they have the will and good attitude towards work they can still end up being successful. I know some people who were not able to graduate even just their highschool due to poverty but became wealthy and well- knowned business tycoon.

I believe that school is very important; education is what causes people to live in an advanced society. But I do think that american schooling is outdated and needs to be re-invented. I mean this by discovering new ways to teach students, because I do believe the reason why many kids drop out of school is due to the fact that school is "boring" and "pointless" in their perpective.
