Right now it's 12 midnight and i'm not yet asleep, haaaay. . Usually, i felt sleepy at 1:00am and woke up 6am to 7am. Often i felt so tired and exhausted at work but when i got home it's so difficult for me to get myself to sleep. I wanna sleep earlier but I can't. I close my eyes on bed for like a couple of hours but still my mind is thinking of things which won't let me sleep until 1am. Is there anyway that i could convince mybody to sleep? What time do you sleep then and how do you manage yourself to get sleep?

It totally depends on the night for me. Sometimes I will go to bed by 11, sometimes not until 2 or so, depends on what I am up to and how tired I feel. I pretty much get up at the same time everyday (except when I am doing something in the morning) regardless of when I go to bed.

oh your waking hours is manageable by your body but it's the opposite of your time to bed. however it's still okay coz your sleeping hours is determined by these things that you need to do and your body tiredness unlike me even if i'm tired it would still be thesame

Well, i agree with you, even i sleep at 12 late night. But i manage to sleep 7-8 hours daily. And u can do it only through practise. Drink hot milk, it puts you to sleep. I have a habit of applying hair oil ,which keeps my head cool and induces to sleep. Because hair oil improves blood circulation and makes head cool and get out of other thoughts. And just 2 weeks, practise it by sleeping at times, then your body will adapt.

well, it is a common problem for many people.
I usually go to bed at 12:15 am and get to sleep after 15 around minutes. if i was very exhausted at work, i went to bed at 11:30 pm and could get get myself to sleep within 5 minutes. i usually wake up at 6:30 to 7:30 am, and go to rest room then back to bed, continuing sleep, and get up at 9 am.
I think it is better for you to have a sleep training period, trying to calm down yourself, without surfing on internet or chatting so much before going to sleep. I am sure you will have a good and healthy sleep habit after your efforts. Good luck.

Hi jezblog, I know how you feel, Its the same for me. I usually go to sleep at 2:30 am. Internet is the reason I stay up late at night, Maybe I should minimize my computer usage :P mylotting is certainly addictive. If you want to sleep early at night try not to take an afternoon nap and you'll feel sleep around 9:00pm. Hope this help. Happy mylotting!

It depends on work schedule. I'm not working right now because I have to review and take a major exam. I haven't started yet because I'm waiting for some info. Nowadays, I just work here on myLot and stay as late as 4 am. I too would like to sleep earlier but I need the money I could get here from myLot by April. Also, it's fun discussing stuff around here.
Sometimes, if I want to sleep early, I just don't use the computer. When I use the computer and tell myself "only 30 minutes" or "just 1 hour", it goes beyond that. The internet is such a big playground that I could explore and goof off for several hours. If your body can't sleep earlier yet, try sleeping at least 30 minutes earlier each night. If you slept 1am, try 12:30am next, then 12 am, and until you reach your desired time of sleep.

Ahm, usually I get to sleep from 11-12...before when we still had our television but now that it's gone to the repair shop...my time for sleep is from 12-1am in the morning and to think that i still have class early in the morning...in your case, maybe one of the reason that you were still awake at that time because you have a lot of things to think about...or perhaps you have insomia...

For me i sleep at 10pm because my body is about to sleep that time when I can't sleep beyond that time then I can't immediately sleep so if i wear you you sleep if your body need to sleep because it is mean that you pay for your sleeping hours.

Hi Lots of people have similar problem. What is different is even the short sleep is sound and they are rejuvenated next morning. Physical exhaustion by exercise in the evenings will certainly be of some use. Avoiding the sleep inhibiting beverages like coffee after 8.0 p.m could also be a possible solution. When the mind keep wandering, a dull reading material in hand also can help.

Hello Jez...
Time check 1:00 am
I'm usually awake at this time until dawn because of my work. I'm on dayoff today. I'm thinking of devoting my wholetime posting on mylot. Hopefully I could. I also need to post quality so that my efforts won't be wasted.
YOu should take sleeping pills to make it better or you could just spend time doing mylot. You get extra cash and you might get sleepy....

I could go for 4 hours of sleep. I also tried no sleeping for 24 hours. We just went out with my boardmates and played games on the net. There was a promo for internet users from 1-5 am and when we went home, we even watched movies.
I think you have insomnia, that is why your like that.em]niceday[/em]

I sleep at around 8pm - 9pm, that is my normal. I got used to it. Try gettin a small clock on your bed and just focus on the tick tack of the clock for you to get sleep. My brother tried it and it worked i hope it will work to you

I have a very hard time going to sleep at night too. I usually fall asleep around 3am and wake up at about 7am. I don't know why I can't go to sleep. Sometimes if i get on the computer it helps me fall asleep because looking at the screen makes me tired for some reason.
I also turn my ipod on and dance for a while. I'm usually so tired from lack of sleep that working out is just what I need to make my body tired enough to put me to bed. Other times I eat a nice big meal which usually always makes me sleepy, but it's not very healthy which is why I workout so much hahaha.

As far as I am concerned, I think I think I will usually have a sleep in the late night about 12 Pm,which most of people have been in asleep for so long a time. For me, I just do not want to sleep that early, I just want work more time in the night ,and get moe dleep in the morening. Have a nice day my friend.

I sleep before midnight. Do not know if the saying is true for men having difficult sleeping or is more prone to insomnia but I noticed that the older I get, the more difficult it is for me to sleep early at night.

I go to sleep at midnight when our dormitory lights out.
I think you must relax youself, listen some comfortable music and stop thinking.
U know, sometime the eagerlier you wish to sleep earlier, the worse you did it.
