Howdy Mylotters, Do you hear about these cities? But I am sure all Filipinos here know about Puerto Prinsesa and Davao? They are the largest cities in the archipelago in terms of land area.
I used to consider Davao City is the largest, but I have read that Puerto Prinsesa is the larget City in terms of Land area.

These two cities are blessed with bountiful beauties.
Davao has Mount Apo---the highest peak in the Philippines
Puerto Prinsesa has the subterranean river or the underground river. This is one of the nominees of the New World 7 wonders.
Have you been in these places already?
How about our western mylotters? Have you heard about these Cities? Or if not, what is the largest city in your country? And what are your natural wonders?
I love the Grand Canyon in Arizona, have you been there?

Aah... Sorry for the misunderstanding. Well it must be quite a sightseeing if it's a New World 7 nominee.
Where did you vote for it?

It got me curios so I research that in wikipedia and found that it still is Davao City because it is larger by 44 sq. km. since Puerto is 2,400 sq km and Davao is 2444 sq km. So I think Davao is still bigger vs. Puerto. I think both have high potential to become a very prosperous cities because they can tapped the land they occupy it could accommodate many businesses and residents to come in their place. They have beautiful spots they can develop for toruism as well.

Well I have been into the official site of Puerto Princesa but I haven't read about them claiming they are the largest city. Can you give me the link to your claim. I think they are one of the largest city in the Philippines and they are indeed since they almost got what Davao has and Davao only got it since they have about 44 sq km larger.

Hi there. I am a proud Filipino and I have heard so much of those cities that you have mentioned. However, I haven't been there in any of the two. But as soon as I will be able to have my vacation, I'm planning to visit Puerto Prinsesa and the famous underground river. I am actually so excited to be there because as seen from some photos it is absolutely beautiful! Happy mylotting.

I've never been to those places, i wish i could, I'm from Baguio City and those places are from here.
The best places i've been is in Puerto Galera, Mindoro. Nice beaches there, we went snorkeling and island hopping. It was last Novermber.
Then the highest peak i've been is in Mt. Pulag. It was the December of 2008. It's the second highest peak in the Philippines. It's cold up there, added that it was foggy and rained from time to time. We even slept in the cold ground, the water was soaking up our sleeping bags. It was an unforgettable experience. I would go back up that mountain only if it's not raining again.

Baguio is such a paradise too... my friend had been there and she took a lot of pictures... the way was an adventure she said.
Puerto Galera, I never heard of it except from you... but I guess I really love island hopping.
So you are a mountaineer... I really love climbing mountains too... how I wish I can climb Mt. Apo one of these days when I am free.. I guess your journey to Mt. Pulag was a super adventure... it's to hard to resist in cold and mud... I've experienced camping when the rain fall so hard... I was chilling and wished to go home... hahahaha. And thanks for the info... so Mt. Pulag is the 2nd highest peak...

yeah, baguio itself is beautiful. When was she here?
Puerto Galera is in Mindoro. We went there by riding a boat from the port of Batangas. Good beaches there really, white sand too. The water is clear when you go snorkeling so you could see the corals and fishes under the water. The urchin excretion just itches while you swim. You should get anti-itches afterwards though.
I'm not really a mountaineer, we just went there for experience and it was indeed an unforgettable experience. You should always have chocolates in the pocket there, if you get hungry while trekking the mountains then you could have a bite of the choclit. yum! Yes the rain felt like crushed ice thrown to the face because the wind was harsh that time too. Yes. Mt. Pulag is the 2nd highest peak.

Last August I guess, she and her classmates stayed there for a month, it's there tour, I do not really what's there activities... she is a pharmacy student and will graduation this March!!! She said it's really chilling there specially when the dark fall.
Wow, I love boating too---you an see the corals and fishes??? Oh yes!!!! But I really hate urchin...
Yes, chocolate is the best, sweet food will help you warm your body and resist the cold...
For now, I am trying to collect things for climbing, I wish i can have my own tent soon...

I'm from Cebu but I've never been to this places. Even if were locals, we can't afford to go to Puerto Princesa resorts because they offer a big amount of money just to relax. I know that there are cheaper ones but If you want good service, You can't afford it.

I lived here in Davao city and this is my very favorite place because everything is so peaceful here, I love the neighborhood, plus the air and water are clean, the traffic is not really punishing and every place and landmarks are accessible even in one ride. Employment is good also, the foods are excellent and everything is so affordable.

Hi! Prime as you well know I am from Puerto Princesa City. I would like you ( all mylotters) to know that Puerto Princesa City is the second largest city in the Philippines, (after Davao) in terms of total land area. Our City is also known as the "City in the Forest" because of our unified love and passion and responsibility for the protection of environment. Voting is still on. Hope you can help and make history for us. For those who wanna vote please visit www.new7wonders.com for more details. Thanking you in advance.

I've been to Davao City, and its a large wide City with peaceful atmosphere and people. I guess Davao City is the city in the Philippines with the lowest crimes even until now... There also mountain peaks that will let you see the whole wide davao... But I also hope to visit the underground river...

Yes I have been to both cities and both are lovely in their own ways.
We had our annual trip this year to Davao City and we went zorbing and had tried the zipline.
We were at Palawan last year and the place is really breath taking. There are so many things to do there. We tried fire fly watching in Iwahig, visited the penal farm in Iwahig as well. This is the largest penal institution in our country with no wails. The prisoners can roam freely and do work on the fields as their punishment. We went snorkeling at Honda Bay, had a mangrove paddle tour just near the port where you usually go on your way to the Underground River. The limestone mountains are a great sight to see too.
I really want to go back to Palawan and explore Coron and El Nido. Geez! I can't get enough of Palawan!
