Insomnia and how to deal with it

Hi everyone! I was wondering if any of you have sleeping problems or had any in the past and how did they solve that problem. What techniques did you use? How did that affect your life? Was there a troubling reason behind your insomnia? Share your experience and thoughts on the matter. Thanks!

I do have Insomnia, and can't sleep before 3am or 4am, sometimes 6am and I'm still awake. But, when I need to sleep early, I listen to music. Take my headphones and close my eyes and relax listening to a music that I like 'till I sleep.

And what do you do when you have insomnia? Try to fight it somehow or do you just practice listening to music till you fall asleep? I think there's a good reason behind every insomnia...

Well, you're right. My good reason is that I just think, think, and think when I'm in my bed. And it just don't let me sleep. So... when I listen music, it distracts my thoughts and so I can sleep.

I have insomnia. Well, if I really can't sleep, I just stay awake until I really feel sleepy. I sometime stay awake until 3am, and that's when I feel sleepy. I just watch tv, watching tv makes me feel sleepy. I also read sometime. I just do so many things until I feel sleepy.

if you cant sleep a day then better go the doctor so they can provide you medicine for that as it happens to me before. i thought its only normal but things become wort that i couldnt sleep a day but only a nap like not even an hour. though theres light insomnia that makes you awake at night but sleep during the day so what i did is i didnt sleep during the day even if im too sleepy so that my mind will get tired and i go sleep at night. the body will adjust to it as our body is also like a clock that knows what time to sleep and wake up. so if we normally sleep late at night then if we want to sleep early we cant sleep coz our mind is not ready to sleep yet unless we are tired. just try to sleep at the same time everyday and believe me your mind will set to it. if its hard then just try to lay down around 8pm and closed your eyes even if your mind still awake. turn off the light, put on light instrumental music and light scented candles as it will calm your mind and you will never know that you fall to sleep already. try to do it every to set your mind to sleep early then after a month even if you dont have those routine your mind will automatically fall to sleep.
