Has Anyone heard of The Moonies

I was reading up on this Cult and it says that if you spend money in this life that in the afterlife you will relieve your suffering. Is this something anyone will believe, and how does spending your money help you to be free from suffering after you die. Does anyone have an idea and what else do you know about this cult.

i dont have an exact idea about this, but I am sure that this is not true that spend money now and get rewarded after you DIE..

but i do say that In ISLAM, if you spend your money for good deed in the way of ALLAH and you help some one you`ll surely get rewarded there after in life, that is eternal, this is temporary life.

OK no one is disputing that Islam says it, however all religions say if you give to the poor you will get your reward, these people says if you give money you will reward others who sinned.

I remember that they were big in the 70's. I remember seeing some of them a time or two selling flowers or something at the airport!I know the term "moonies' comes because their leader was REverend Moon. I don't know anything about what they believe. I learned a lot about some cults because my sociology teacher in college liked to study them so I heard a lot of different things.
