Which is the sound that annoys you the worst?

I personally find repetitive sounds annoying, regardless of what is causing the noise. For example, I live in a suburban area, and every day it seems like there is gardening equipment being used; weed-eaters, lawnmowers, leaf blowers, wood-chippers, and chainsaws. Another annoying sound is when dogs will not quit barking. It is just one of those sounds that pisses me off too. And another sound that bothers me is what you said in your discussion, which is when some person is making annoying sounds, it just gets on my nerves and seems really obnoxious.

Well, people screaming is one of them, when someone drag a chair and do that sound in the ground. That drive me nuts! x_x

Hey icesmile! I have two sounds that my boyfriend makes that drives me to want to kill him!lol When he drinks something he makes this noise after he takes a sip! I can't describe it, but it is really annoying and he does it everytime! And then he sucks his teeth after he eats and will keep doing it for hours after! I have to keep telling him to stop and I'm not even sure if he is aware of it! I'm sure he does it when he is eating with other people and wonder what they think of his obnoxious eating habits! I doubt he just does it with me because it seems like too much of a reflex action!

There are a few type of sound that really makes me go crazy, as in angry, pain and fear. One is the drilling sound. Don't you agree that it sounds like your dentist drilling your decay teeth and the painful moments will just pop into your mind. The next is the screeching sound which you could by scratching the blackboard with your finger nails. I don't know why but the sound of it really gives me goosebumps and I will kinda freak out. The last one is the sound of consistent knocking or banging. Imagine when you want peaceful moments, a consistent sound such as knocking the wall or banging the table is present, it will makes me very uncomfortable and sometimes, I might have the feeling of vomiting because of it.

I hate the sound of the alarm clock in the morning. I started hating it when I was in college because when it sounds, it means that the best part of the day is over. [

Most annoying sound for me that I cannot bear is a fork pushed against a plate, eeiiikie sound. I also don't like the sound of rubber shoes in a floor that makes its squeeky or the person that walks makes it sound of squeeky. My ear drums would also bleed to my neighbors who keeps on singing wrong tunes, high notes that flops out flat line even if it is really annoying, she still sings it out loud that reaches a hundred miles . I also don't like heavy footsteps specially at night time. Since our house is near a street, people would scratch their flipflops out loud early morning, it really destructs my sleep.

There are too may in my list..But most of the time I really,really hate when people shouting/screaming in anger, car's horn, and a sound like a chalk being scrathed in on the blackboard. And many too come...Good thing I still have my patience.

Its lorry vehicle sound horn. I really hate it, it gives a jerk in my body and i feel like my head starts paining and my hear allergic to that noise. Its ofcourse a noise pollution. I hate it to the core and i see even the babies cry on hearing that loud sound.

if you use a coin to scratch a metal rod it will make an extremely high-frequency sound. i just can't stand this because it hurts my eardrums. sometimes when you hear it in your mind long after the real sound has ended, it hurts more.

When the nail scrape the grass,the noise makes me crazy! This noise makes me uncomfitable,I believe you also have that fellings,even thought I can't describe it exactly.

As aggiefreak said before, the most annoying sound is the one that is repetitive: water dripping, clock ticking and so on. One might say that one is crazy for paying attention to these sounds and for considering them disturbing. But for the fact that you hear them, it means that a small percent of your brain is processing it, thus not the whole capacity is used for the thing that you are consciously doing at that time. So it's fair to say that it makes you lose focus, involuntarily... All the things that we perceive take a small amount of thinking... And of course, there are sounds that we just can't stand like the piece of chalk on a blackboard that gives you shivers on the spine... probably something happens in our mind that makes this sound feel threatening, because the reaction is similar to the one when you feel fear... who knows why ... ?

the sounds that i hate most are schreech sound from a chalk being written on board,sounds coming from vehicles when brakes are applied..

Hi, there are many noises which I don t like, you're right, one is that of an uneducated man who eats, but also pisses me off, tone, intonation of voice of a man who wants to be sarcastic, ironic, I was annoyed not to say , malicious voice noise annoys me, you ever heard voices intonations of a bad person? That pisses me off I think the coolest.

The sounds that I hate the most to hear is ragging the chair,and the sounds that annoys me and make me angry when I hear the sound of biting the teeth while sleeping.

Fingernails scraping on glass. Chalk squealing on a blackboard. Feedback squeal from an amplifier.

probably the sound of my wife nagging at me to do the dishes
